The thesis takes Wulanhaot City,Xing’an League,Inner Mongolia as the study area,and the land use vector database of the study area at five time points in 1985,1990,2000,2010 and 2020 established by RS and GIS technology,and uses the land use transfer matrix to clarify the relationship of various land use types transferring in and out in terms of mode and quantity,and by analyzing the land use dynamics of the study area at different times By analyzing the land use dynamics,landscape structure,etc.of the study area in different periods,we explore the changing characteristics of the land use pattern in the study area and reveal he law of its evolution,which has important guiding significance for the establishment of regional spatial planning system,the improvement of regional ecological environment and the rational and sustainable use of land resources.The main results are as follows:(1)The current situation of land use types in the study area: the increase and decrease of land use areas in the study area during 1985-2020 are inconsistent.from 1985 to 1990,the grassland area increased the most,mainly due to the conversion of cultivated land;between 1990 and 2000,the increase of building area is the largest,mainly the construction of civil houses due to the immediate need for housing,and the sources are cultivated land,grassland and water bodies around the city;between 2000 and 2010,the grassland area has increased again more,and its main sources are the project of returning farmland to grass and degraded forest land,and between 2010 and 2020,the cultivated land area has increased the most,mainly due to the protection of farmland and the construction of high-standard farmland,the sources of which are grassland,forest land and unused land.(2)Land transformation and development characteristics: overall the expansion of construction land is more concentrated rather than a haphazard expansion.The woodland in the northwestern part of the study area has increased significantly,and is concentrated and developed in succession with the original woodland,mainly concentrated in the study area of Yilalit town.The area of water body area increased is mainly concentrated in Taiyuan Town and Gegenmiao Town.The area of increased arable land basically expands with the original arable land and concentrates continuous development,and the area of increased arable land is mainly distributed throughout the study area,and the carrying capacity of land population increases significantly.(3)Factors influencing land use type transformation: The land use pattern in the study area is subject to both natural and human factors,and the key factors determining the change of land use pattern are different,mainly water,climate,human activities,etc.The intensity,direction and manner of each factor’s effect on land use pattern are different.Among these factors,the intensity and magnitude of the key influencing factors of human activities on the land use pattern from 2010 to 2020 clearly exceed those of other years,i.e.,the main reason for the frequent conversion between land use types and the large change in land use area is human activities.(4)Spatial differentiation characteristics of land use landscape:(1)Arable land and forest land are the dominant landscape types in the study area,and the sum of the area ratio of the two exceeds 93% in all five years.2010-2020 saw the most drastic changes in the land landscape,mainly manifested by the rapid increase of arable land and construction land and the rapid decrease of grassland.(2)The trends exhibited by each land use type in the study area at the patch level and the landscape level during 1985-2020 are basically consistent.From the patch type level,the patch area,maximum patch index and patch type area of grassland are all peaks,and the number of cultivated patches and patch density are significantly larger than those of other land types;from the landscape index at the landscape level,the landscape shape index is the most complex in 1985,and from 1985 to2020,the landscape aggregation degree is getting higher and higher,and the landscape diversity water flatly rise year by year.
