In recent years,with the continuous promotion of China’s financial policy reform,the domestic financial market has gradually opened and the financial system has been constantly improved,which has promoted the rapid development of China’s financial disintermediation at different levels.The development of financial disintermediation has fundamentally led to the outflow of funds due to the inequality of market interest rates and bank interest rates,and the outflow of funds has promoted the development of non bank financial institutions.The development of non bank financial institutions will further impact the normal operation of commercial banks while providing new financing opportunities for enterprises.Taking the business data of 40 commercial banks listed on A-shares from 2011 to 2020 as a sample,this paper studies the business impact of financial disintermediation on five different types of banks,including the four major central banks,national joint-stock commercial banks,urban commercial banks,and rural commercial banks.The results show that the higher the degree of financial disintermediation,the greater the impact on the overall operating performance of commercial banks;The impact of financial disintermediation on different types of commercial banks is different.The impact on the operating performance of national joint-stock banks and rural commercial banks is not significant,but the impact on the operating performance of the four major central banks and urban commercial banks is significant;Financial disintermediation narrowed the interest margin income of commercial banks,diverted the customers of commercial banks,increased the operating difficulty of commercial banks,but promoted the development of interbank deposits to varying degrees.On the basis of the above research,combined with the actual business case of Bank S,this paper gives the specific business strategies that city commercial banks should adopt in the face of financial disintermediation: first,on the premise of defining the commercial bank’s own position,we should reasonably formulate a practical strategic development plan;Second,we should make full use of mobile Internet financial services and continue to strengthen financial product innovation and business expansion;Third,we should adhere to the innovative business service model,vigorously develop mixed business,and constantly promote the implementation of online retail business development scale;Fourth,we should strengthen asset liquidity management,effectively improve basic management capabilities,and comprehensively control the risk of loans in the context of financial disintermediation.
