Research On Xi Jinping’s Green Development Concept

Since the 18th Party Congress,General Secretary Xi Jinping has adhered to the people-centered development ideology,made scientific judgments on the economic situation based on the development of the times,made timely adjustments to development concepts and ideas,and systematically put forward the "Five Development Concepts" of innovation,coordination,green,openness and sharing.Among the "Five Development Concepts",the concept of green development is a colorful one,which has a rich connotation of the times and far-reaching value,reflecting the people’s aspiration for a better life.In just a few years after the concept of green development was proposed,its theory has been gradually improved and the concept has been deeply rooted in people’s hearts,which not only makes us realize the importance and necessity of sustainable development of human economy and society,but also has great practical significance for building a green foundation for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and realizing the modernization of harmony between human beings and nature.This article analyzes the theoretical sources of Xi Jinping’s green development concept from multiple angles through various methods such as literature research and historical research,reveals the rich contents contained in the green development concept,and summarizes its theoretical and practical values in the light of the real situation.The article’s study of Xi Jinping’s green development concept is divided into five parts.The first part mainly elaborates on the research purpose and significance of Xi Jinping’s green development concept,the current situation of domestic and foreign research,research ideas and methods,as well as the innovative points and shortcomings of the thesis,so as to lay the foundation for the subsequent research.The second part is the theoretical origin of Xi Jinping’s green development concept.Through extensive reading of literature and classical works,the theoretical origin of the green development concept is systematically elaborated by analyzing the relevant thoughts of Marx and Engels on green development,the relevant thoughts of the main leaders of the Chinese Communist Party on green development and the relevant thoughts of ancient Chinese traditional culture on green development.The third part systematically composes the main contents of Xi Jinping’s green development concept,and discusses and examines its main contents in terms of fundamental objectives,value aspirations,empirical revelations and key initiatives.In the fourth part,the basic features of Xi Jinping’s green development concept are summarized in depth on the basis of its main contents,which fully manifest the five basic features of peoplehood,harmony,scientificity,historical inheritance and innovation.The fifth part discusses the theoretical value of Xi Jinping’s green development concept,which has creatively inherited and developed Marxist ecological thought,enriched and expanded the theory of socialist ecological civilization construction with Chinese characteristics,further enriched and developed the political economy of socialism with Chinese characteristics,and not only pointed out the direction for China to build a modernization in which people and nature coexist harmoniously,but also contributed Chinese wisdom and practical value to global environmental governance.The practical value of Chinese solutions.
