The Influence Of Outward Foreign Direct Investment On Chinese Green Industry Ecology

With the continuous development of economy and the gradual increase of resource consumption,the public’s demand for green environmental protection is increasingly strong.In response to this demand,countries have formulated environmental regulations,and the impact of environmental regulation differences between the two countries on our OFDI activities can not be underestimated.Facing the location choice of OFDI under the environmental regulation difference,it is a hot topic in the academic circle how to make use of the environmental regulation difference to construct our green industry ecology and realize the resource recycling within the green industry ecology.Therefore,it is of practical significance to explore the influence mechanism of OFDI activities,environmental regulation between the two countries and ecological green industry.This thesis studies the green industry ecology in our country based on the industrial ecology theory,sustainable development theory,circulation economics theory and system learning theory,using the methods of theoretical analysis and empirical analysis.In this thesis,by combing the existing literature research and adding the green industry ecology mentioned in the national policy documents,we define the green industry ecology in China.From the three aspects of green consumption,green environment and green production,entropy method is used to construct the green industry ecology index.From 2010 to 2019,the data of 92 countries and the Chinese green industry ecology index are used.An empirical analysis model was established based on panel fixed effect model,regulatory effect model and threshold effect model to empirically analyze the impact of environmental regulation difference and OFDI activities on Chinese green industry ecology,further explore the impact mechanism of both on Chinese green industry ecology and adopt instrumental variable method to conduct endogenous test.The empirical results show that the difference of environmental regulation between the two countries plays a moderating role in the influence of OFDI activities on green industry ecology,and has a threshold effect.Finally,three conclusions are drawn.The status quo of the development of Chinese green industry ecology and the difference of the overall environmental regulation play a role in promoting the construction of Chinese green industry ecology and the role of environmental regulation difference in constructing Chinese green industry ecology.Some suggestions are put forward according to the conclusion,in order to construct the green industry ecology,OFDI activities should choose the countries with strong environmental regulation but within the threshold value of our country,and rationally distribute the green industry and introduce the relevant talents.
