With the gradual formation of China ’s urban agglomeration strategic layout, studies on the layout of city cluster and network spatial structure emerge one after another, the development of logistics is also the key to the spatial organization of city cluster. At the same time, with the development of ‘flow space’ theory, the research on the development of urban agglomeration network space connection based on relational geography has gradually become a hot spot.Based on this, from the perspective of logistics connection, this paper takes 19 city cluster as the research units.Firstly, the logistics connection network between urban agglomerations is constructed by crawling the actual logistics transaction order quantity data between cities, and the strength of logistics connection between urban agglomerations is described.Secondly, social network analysis method is used to analyze the spatial structure characteristics of the network. Finally, the quadratic assignment procedure method is used to explore the driving factors of the formation of the logistics network. The analysis concluded: Firstly,On the whole, the density of logistics connection network between urban agglomerations is not high, and there are great differences in the strength of logistics connection between urban agglomerations. The network is dominated by weak links.Once the threshold network density is increased, the density decreases rapidly. When this difference is reduced, the network shows good accessibility and certain hierarchical structure.Secondly,Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Urban Agglomeration,Yangtze River Delta,Chengdu-Chongqing City Group,Pearl River Delta,Triangle of Central China,Shandong Peninsula,Guangdong,Fujian and Zhejiang Coastal Urban Agglomeration,Central Plains Urban Agglomeration are located in the center of the network, playing a resource control and intermediary role in the network;Central and Western Urban Agglomerations such as Central Shanxi Urban Agglomeration,Central Guizhou Urban Agglomeration,Central Yunnan Urban Agglomeration,Northern Slope of Tianshan Urban Agglomeration,Ningxia Urban Agglomeration along the Yellow River,Hohhot-Baotou-Ordos-Yulin Urban agglomeration are located at the edge of the logistics network.Thirdly, the five factors, namely, economic development, geographical proximity, the integration of city cluster, transportation infrastructure, and the complementarity of industrial functions, have a significantly positive effect on the logistics network among urban agglomerations, while the factors driven by the government and the level of informatization have a negative effect on the logistics network. That is to say, urban agglomerations are more inclined to have logistics links with urban agglomerations with similar geographical locations, high traffic accessibility, good integration development of urban agglomerations, complementary industrial functions, large differences in economic development, small policy differences, and closer informatization level. Therefore,in the future development of city cluster logistics, the leading role of central nodes should be strengthened, and the marginal nodes should actively accept the radiation effect of central nodes. It should pay attention to the external relations of cities, promote the development of boundary urban groups, and then form the fulcrum of cross-regional urban agglomeration development. At the same time, giving full play to policy-driven,improving cross-regional transport networks, enhancing the complementary industrial functions of urban agglomerations, giving full play to the comparative advantages of various urban agglomerations, accelerating the integration process of urban agglomerations, and improving the informatization development of urban agglomerations are also the key to strengthening the connection degree and stability of the logistics correlation network between urban agglomerations.
