| Global carbon emissions have fallen into a crisis, and the carbon emission reduction potential on the public consumption side is significant. The low-carbon consumption behavior of urban residents is the fundamental way to realize carbon emission crisis transformation.Studying the path and law of low-carbon transformation of urban residents’ consumption behavior is of great significance to the country’s longterm low-carbon development and carbon emission crisis transformation.Based on theory of planned behavior and attitude-behavior-external conditions theory, this thesis establishes a conceptual model for the empirical examination of residents’ low-carbon consumption behavior. The antecedents of urban residents’ lowcarbon consumption behavior are divided into three types including psychology motivation, subjective norms, social situation.Low-carbon consumption attitude and intention are taken as mediator variables of the model. With the power of meta-analytic structural equation modeling approach, this thesis analyzes considerable existing research results, obtains the most appropriate model to explain the relationships between a set of low-carbon consumption behavior variables, and also analyzes the transformation process of the microscopic carbon emission crisis on the consumption side of residents from the perspective of crisis transformation, which provide empirical evidence for how to intervene and guide residents to effectively implement low-carbon consumption behavior. The specific content has four parts: The first part defines the concepts of residents’ low-carbon consumption behavior and the transformation of carbon emission crisis, and introduces the theory of planned behavior and attitude-behavior-external conditions theory, which lays a theoretical foundation for the model construction of this thesis. The second part is the construction of the conceptual model of urban residents’ low-carbon consumption behavior. This thesis uses literature induction to define the concepts of research variables, then puts forward research hypotheses and constructs conceptual model. The third part is the meta-analytic structural equation modeling analysis. The Chinese and English literatures on low-carbon consumption behavior of urban residents are comprehensively searched, quality evaluation and data extraction on 36 literatures included in the meta-analysis are conducted, and heterogeneity test and publication bias test are carried out.The correlation matrix calculated by metaanalysis is used for structural equation analysis. The results show that: psychological motivation and consumption intention positively influence residents’ low-carbon consumption behavior, and consumption intention has the greatest impact on residents’ low-carbon consumption behavior.Compared with subjective norms and social situation, consumption attitude can predict better much better low-carbon consumption intention, and psychological motivation can more positively predict low-carbon consumption attitude.Consumption attitude and intention play specific indirect and remote mediating effects between psychological motivation, subjective norms, social situation and low-carbon consumption behavior. The fourth part is the transformation of carbon emission crisis on the consumption side of urban residents. This thesis explores the influencing factors of the consumption side carbon emission crisis chain, builds a theoretical framework for the transformation of consumption side carbon emission crisis, excavates the carbon emission crisis transformation path on consumption side, and finally puts forward countermeasures and suggestions for crisis transformation. There are two innovations in the thesis. The meta-analysis method is applied to the research on the transformation path of urban residents’ low-carbon consumption behavior to provide specific ideas for the transformation management of residents’ consumption side carbon emission crisis.Based on the new perspective of turning crisis into opportunity, this thesis establishes a theoretical framework of carbon emission crisis transformation on consumption side and excavates the path of carbon emission crisis transformation. |
