With the vigorous development of the market economy,the kinds of credit card products are constantly diversifying and enriching.The continuous development and changes of the internal and external environment of banks provide a broad space for the continuous development of credit cards,but also bring a variety of risks to the development of credit cards,and these risks are constantly expanding.Especially since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus pneumonia in 2020,the economic environment has been greatly affected,the development of many industries has been restricted,and the repayment ability of employees in some industries has declined on a large scale,which makes the exposure speed of credit card loan risks continue to accelerate,and the overall risk of credit card loan shows a trend of difficult to contain rising.At the present stage,the domestic credit card market is facing more and more severe risk situation.In addition to the traditional credit card cashing out cases,fake card fraud,payment fund fraud telecom fraud and other new fraud risk cases are also increasing.The criminal means of credit card fraud are constantly renovated,which not only develops to high technology,collectification and specialization,but also makes the implementation process of the case more secret,which has a bad impact on the bank and the cardholder’s capital security,and has become an adverse reason for the healthy development of the credit card industry.This paper focuses on the discussion of fraud risk management of credit card business,and uses the basic theory of risk management to analyze how commercial banks should effectively manage fraud risk under various challenges such as the rapid development of financial technology and the downward situation of the overall social economy.Taking A bank as an example,this paper firstly analyzes the basic situation of fraud risk management of A bank’s credit card business from three aspects: pre-loan,mid-loan and post-loan.Through the analysis,it is found that Bank A has some problems before,during and after the loan,such as inadequate implementation of pre-loan marketing policies,weak anti-fraud ability of the examiners during the loan,low degree of digitalization,low degree of post-loan risk resolution,and no system of risk transmission in the front,middle and back periods.In view of these problems,This paper puts forward suggestions on risk optimization management based on pre-loan,during and after loan,that is,set up a team of credit card managers in the pre-loan marketing stage to control credit card fraud risks from the source and establish a risk prevention model through multi-party cooperation.In the loan examination and approval stage to establish the customer credit basic portrait system,promote the intensive examination,improve the overall anti-fraud ability;In the post-loan stage,improve the ability to use big data on risks,improve the level of intelligent decision-making on risks,and establish a long-term risk control mechanism for merchants involved in fraud in port transactions.Through the analysis of the fraud risk management of A bank’s credit card business,this paper puts forward the countermeasures to improve the fraud risk management of its credit card business.At the same time,it also hopes to provide a reference for the progress of credit card fraud risk management theory and practice in Chinese commercial banks.
