With the rising of national income,disposable income and tourism expenses in recent years,the domestic tourism industry has developed rapidly,and China’s hotel industry has also initially matured and formed a certain industrial scale.Good development prospects and low barriers to entry attract many investors to enter the hotel industry,leading to more and more fierce competition in the hotel industry market.In this case,it is particularly important to improve the competitiveness of hotel enterprises,and the important way to improve the competitiveness of enterprises is to strengthen cost management.However,the traditional cost management has been unable to adapt to the current competitive environment.In order to obtain competitive advantages,modern enterprises must adopt strategic cost management theory to comprehensively analyze the factors such as strategic positioning,internal and external value chain and strategic cost drivers,so as to provide more reliable cost information for the management and enhance the competitiveness of enterprises.YD hotel was officially opened in May 2019,and the cost management in the early stage of its establishment was chaotic and had many problems.In order to effectively improve the current situation of hotel cost management,enhance the competitive position and maintain the long-term competitive advantage,this paper studies and analyzes the strategic cost management methods,respectively analyzes the hotel strategic positioning,value chain and cost drivers,points out the shortcomings of cost management,and combined with the hotel’s own situation,constructs a strategic cost management suitable for YD hotel basic framework.Under the strategic cost management,the hotel’s strategic positioning is defined,the competitive strategy suitable for its own development is selected,and the internal and external value chain is optimized to effectively control the cost drivers,which makes the hotel cost management more effective.In the above cost management,the balanced scorecard is used to evaluate the performance of the hotel,so that the effect of strategic cost management can be effectively guaranteed.Through the strategic cost management research of YD Hotel,this paper solves the current cost management problems of YD Hotel,and makes the enterprise development more competitive.At the same time,it provides a practical case for the application of strategic cost management in the hotel industry,which has a certain reference value.
