In an organizational environment, employees’ procrastination not only affects their own job performance, compensation levels, and occupational health, but also leads to reduced organizational efficiency and increased production costs, while employee conscientious behaviour shows the opposite. Therefore, how to improve employees’ conscientiousness is worth to explore. It is known that different leadership styles will have different impacts on employees’ cognition and attitude, and responsible leadership is one of the important precursor variables for employees’ procrastinating behaviours and conscientious behaviours.Hence, this paper mainly studies the relationship between responsible leadership and employee procrastination behaviour and also conscientious behaviour, with taking due diligence pressure and due diligence as the intermediary and responsibility as the regulatory variable for further in-depth research.By analysing the current research results, proposing research hypotheses, and constructing models, developing scales, conducting questionnaires, and finally descriptive statistical analysis, reliability testing, correlation analysis, and structural equation model analysis of the questionnaire data, this paper draws the following conclusions:(1)Through correlation analysis, there is a significant negative relationship between responsible leaders and pressure of employee conscientious duty and employee procrastinating behaviour.Meanwhile, there is a significant positive relationship between pressure of employee conscientious duty and employee conscientious behaviour. Moreover, employee responsibility has positive correlation with responsible leadership, while it negatively relates the pressure of the employee conscientious duty.(2)Through regression analysis,on the one hand,it is proved that responsible leadership has a significant negative impact on employee procrastinating behaviour. And responsible leadership has a significant negative impact on the pressure of the employee conscientious duty.It is also known that the pressure of the employee conscientious duty has a significant positive impact on employee procrastinating behaviour. On the other hand, responsible leadership has a significant positive impact on employee conscientious behaviour. It positively affects employee conscientious duty as well.At the same time, employee conscientious duty has a significant positive impact on their conscientious behaviour.Afterwards, employee responsibility has a negative adjustment effect between responsible leadership and conscientious pressure, while it holds a positive adjustment effect between responsible leadership and employee conscientious duty.In a nutshell, the conclusion puts forward suggestions for optimizing the leader’s responsible style, reducing the negative impact on the pressure of the employee conscientious duty, improving employee conscientious duty and enhancing employee responsibility.
