| The relationship between economy, energy and environment has always been the focus of attention in the world. The Yangtze River Economic Belt is an important supporting belt of China’s economic development, and its development planning strategy has been elevated to the national strategy.Due to its significant geographical advantages,it gathers most of the industrial industries in the middle and low end and heavy industry. It is still in the extensive economic development mode of "high energy consumption and high pollution" and faces serious energy crisis and ecological environment crisis. How to build a new industrial green development highland in the Yangtze River Economic Belt and effectively improve the industrial energy efficiency of the Yangtze River Economic Belt is particularly important. Therefore, this thesis studies the industrial energy efficiency and its spatial influencing factors in 11 provinces and cities along the Yangtze River Economic Belt.Based on the current situation of energy consumption in the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the research results of relevant scholars, this thesis mainly carries out the following three studies.First,a reasonable evaluation index system and measurement model for industrial energy efficiency were constructed.Based on the continuous panel data of 11 provinces and cities in the Yangtze River Economic Belt from 2009 to 2020,a super efficiency SBM-GML model considering unexpected output was used to evaluate the static and dynamic industrial energy efficiency and analyze the energy saving potential.Second, since the measurement results show that there are efficiency differences among provinces and regions,Theil index, global and local Moran’s I and convergence analysis are further used to explore the spatial characteristics of industrial energy efficiency.Thirdly, according to the results of the global Moran index, positive spatial autocorrelation exists in industrial energy efficiency. Therefore, this thesis adopts the spatio-temporal dual fixed space Dubin model to explore the spatial effects of six factors on industrial energy efficiency, including economic development level, market concentration, environmental regulation, energy consumption structure, government intervention and foreign investment utilization scale. It is found that different influencing factors have different spatial effects in the region and neighboring areas.Based on the above empirical analysis, this thesis puts forward policy suggestions in seven aspects, including regional development, government functions, foreign investment, enterprise innovation, optimization of energy structure, energy conservation and consumption reduction, and environmental regulation,in order to provide references for improving industrial energy efficiency and successfully realizing industrial green development in the Yangtze River Economic Belt. |
