Working capital is an important part of enterprise production and management,and is a prerequisite for the sustainable development of enterprises.Effective working capital management can not only maintain the smooth running of enterprise capital,but also improve the profit rate of enterprises and stabilize the competitive position of enterprises in the market.The traditional working capital management theory only studies a single working capital project,so it is difficult to analyze the problem s existing in the enterprise’s working capital management from a holistic perspective.As an important strategic management tool for enterprises,the value chain is applied to the an alysis of working capital management,which can help enterprises to conduct a comprehensive analysis of internal and external operation and management activities from the overall viewpoint,so as to improve the productivity of working capital management and help companies to maximize value.This paper takes D Company,the leading brand in China’s catering industry,as the object of research,unites working capital management theory and value chain,then analyzes D Company’s current working capital management situation from the perspective of value chain according to the actual management situation of D company.In addition,the group decision hierarchy analysis method and interview survey method are used to explore the problems existing in the working capital management of each link of the internal and external value chain of D company,and it is found that D company has problems such as declining inventory management efficiency and too large proportion of funds occupied by prepaid accounts in the procurement link.In the production link,there are problems of increasing labor cost and low degree of digital application.In the sales link,the expansion strategy is too aggressive and the effect of sinking the market is poor.In the link of upstream and downstream relationship management,there are problems such as lower concentration of upstream suppliers and lower satisfaction of downstream customers.Then the paper constructs an optimization framework on the basis of comprehensiveness,pertinence,operability and cost-effectiveness principles,and puts forward the corresponding optimization scheme.It suggests completing the inventory management methods and system in the procurement link,and perfecting the prepayment management system.In the production link to reduce staff and improve efficiency,expand digital applications and other measures;In the sales link to expand the company’s business sales mode,strengthen the sinking market flexible layout;In the link of upstream and downstream relationship management,improve the concentration of suppliers and strengthen the differentiated distribution of services and products.Finally,the paper puts forward the safeguard measures to establish the correct working capital management concept,improve the value chain management information sharing system,establish a rapid response mechanism,and strengthen the construction of talent team,so as to ensure the smooth implementation of the optimization plan of D company.This paper aims to optimize the working capital management of D company from the perspective of value chain.While helping D company to improve the efficiency of working capital management and achieve sustainable development,it also provides reference for other similar catering companies to carry out working capital management from the viewpoint of value chain. |
