As for the influence of leadership style on work well-being,most previous studies focused on employees’ experience of happiness at work,but ignored leaders who may assume greater responsibility and stress in the organization.With the intensification of competition and complication of environment,academic research on "bottom-up" leadership styles is increasing,and the relatively late rise of humble leadership is favored by scholars.Due to the study of humble leadership is still in its infancy in China,there are still many areas have not been explored very well.Since ancient times,humility has been an excellent personal quality advocated by the Chinese nation.Based on the research results of Western scholars and the unique organizational culture context of China,domestic scholars have successfully developed the Chinese Localized Humility Leadership Scale,but few scholars have used these scales in their researches.Based on the Chinese context,84 groups and 426 paired questionnaire samples of leaders were collected in this paper to study the humble leadership style and leaders’ work well-being.The results of data analysis using SPSS23.0 and AMOS23.0 tools show that:(1)Humble leadership has a significant positive impact on leaders’ work well-being;(2)Leader-member exchange mediates the relationship between humble leadership and work well-being of leaders;(3)Self-efficacy moderates the relationship between humble leadership and work well-being.Humble leaders with higher self-efficacy can get more work well-being than who with less self-efficacy.This study not only enriches the research on humble leadership and leaders’ work well-being,but also provides a new perspective for the theoretical research of humble leadership in China.At the same time,it also provides effective management practice guidance for organizations,which has a positive driving role in improving the organization’s attention to leaders.
