The report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China clearly states that employment is the most basic livelihood. The Party Central Committee attaches great importance to and clearly defines the important deployment of the employment priority strategy, and has successively introduced a series of policies and measures to stabilize employment. At the same time,it is also recognized that the digital economy,as an important component of the new economy, will become an important force in promoting China’s future economic development. The application of digital technology involves the physical and virtual economy, and will cover almost all industries and fields. It will restructure economic activities and reconfigure production factors, which will have a profound impact on employment.Based on this, the paper starting from the perspective of labor economics and taking the digital transformation of enterprises as the starting point, explores the impact and spillover effect of the digital transformation of enterprises on labor employment, analyzes it in combination with endogenous growth theory, labor demand theory and information asymmetry theory, and conducts empirical tests.Taking 2011-2021 as the sample interval, first of all,the correlation test is carried out on the relevant variables to avoid serious collinearity problems;Secondly,it empirically examines the impact of digital transformation on the scale of employment and the spillover effect; Then,it examines the mechanism between digital transformation and the scale of enterprise employment;Thirdly, explore whether there are differences in the above impacts under specific circumstances such as the nature of property rights, the identification of hightech and the high-level of financial development; Finally,it discusses the impact of digital transformation on the employment structure and its economic consequences. This thesis found that the digital transformation promoted the employment of enterprises and has a positive industry spillover effect. In terms of impact mechanism, digital transformation can promote the employment of enterprises in three ways:expanding market scale, improving product innovation level, and reducing business risks.Based on the research of heterogeneity,it is found that the digital transformation of non-state-owned enterprises and high-tech enterprises has more obvious promotion effect on labor employment. At the same time, the regional financial development level plays a negative regulatory role in the relationship between digital transformation and labor employment. Finally, this paper also finds that digital transformation can improve the proportion of highly educated and highly skilled personnel optimize the employment structure of enterprises, and increase the share of labor income.Based on the conclusions obtained, this article puts forward suggestions on "individual","enterprise" and "government".
