| The emergence of non-performing loans has been puzzling commercial banks for a long time,and has gradually become the main factor in hindering the sustainable development of banking industry,which may even cause systemic risks of the entire financial industry.Compared with other types of commercial banks,rural commercial banks are a kind of special commercial banks,and they are mainly small and medium-sized commercial banks restructured from credit cooperatives.The customer groups of rural commercial banks are mainly concentrated in non-urban areas,rural areas and small,medium and micro enterprises.These customer groups generally have high operating risks and higher risk of non-performing loans,which also makes the non-performing loans of such customers have a more serious negative impact on the asset quality of rural commercial banks.In this context,exploring the causes of the non-performing loan problems of rural commercial banks and designing the solutions of non-performing loan will promote the sustainable development of rural commercial banks,and thus provide more comprehensive and reliable financial products and services for potential high-quality customer groups.Because rural commercial banks are restructured by credit cooperatives,this process will directly lead to the overall business level of internal staff at a low level.Against this background,rural commercial banks may face higher operational risks,and different business processes will also have operational risks in the implementation processes,including the processes related to credit business.Therefore,this thesis takes Rural Commercial Bank A(hereafter Bank A)as the research object,and selects the business process perspective as the motivation of research design,so as to deeply explore the causes of the non-performing loan problems of rural commercial banks,and propose solutions for such banks.In the process of analyzing the credit-related business process of Bank A,this thesis takes the loan approval process and post loan management process as examples to show the operation process of Bank A in the loan business.According to the existing non-performing loan cases of Bank A,this thesis designs the corresponding interview outline,and interviews the bank managers and business operators.Based on the analysis of the existing literature,this thesis believes that the causes of non-performing loans can be divided into external factors and internal factors.Based on this,the interview process is designed,and the follow-up results are obtained through the analysis of interview data and case data.In terms of external factors,economic factors and customer factors will have a significant impact on the emergence of risk assets.In terms of internal factors,both information system factors and internal personnel factors can have a strong impact on non-performing loans,and process factors can play a stronger role in credit risk.Combined with the results of process factors,it can be seen that the non-standard credit-related business processes and the lack of a management system will lead to the emergence of non-performing loans,and this factor may also lead to the operational risk of the bank.According to the case analysis and research results,this thesis puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions for the non-performing loans of rural commercial banks from the perspective of internal control,business process,and operational risk. |
