Research On The Impact Of Agricultural Moder-nization On The International Competitiveness Of Chinese Agricultural Products

The Fifth Plenary Session of the Nineteenth Central Committee of the Party put forward the requirement of simultaneous development of "four modernizations",and agricultural modernization is the top priority of this task.Agricultural modernization is the only way for the high-quality development of agriculture.New technologies and new methods of agricultural modernization production provide new momentum for the improvement of the international competitiveness of agricultural products.However,the correlation between agricultural modernization and the international competitiveness of agricultural products needs to be empirically investigated..Therefore,exploring the impact of agricultural modernization on the international competitiveness of China’s agricultural products and its theoretical mechanism is of great significance to China’s agricultural development.This paper mainly studies the relationship between the level of agricultural modernization and the international competitiveness of agricultural products in China’s provinces.First of all,this paper sorts out the related literature on agricultural modernization and the international competitiveness of agricultural products;secondly,it discusses the impact mechanism of agricultural modernization and the international competitiveness of agricultural products based on relevant theories,and adopts the panel data of 30 provinces from 2010 to 2020,from the perspective of agricultural technology According to the four dimensions of the level of modernization,the level of agricultural production scale,the level of sustainable agricultural development,and the level of rural human capital,eight descriptive variables are selected to construct the measurement system of the level of agricultural modernization,and the level of agricultural modernization in each province is calculated by the entropy method;The current situation of agricultural modernization development in China’s provinces and the international competitiveness of agricultural products in China’s provinces are analyzed.The TC index is used to describe the competitiveness of China’s agricultural products relative to other countries,and the RCA index is used to describe the international competitiveness of agricultural products in each province;then based on double fixed effects The model uses the international competitiveness of agricultural products as the explained variable and the level of agricultural modernization as the explanatory variable for regression analysis;finally,based on the regression results,it puts forward corresponding suggestions for the development of China’s agricultural modernization and China’s agricultural product export.According to the results of the research and empirical analysis in this paper,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)The overall difference in the level of agricultural modernization among the provinces is not large,but there are provinces whose development is seriously lagging behind.(2)The international competitiveness of China’s agricultural products is poor.There are obvious differences in the export competitiveness of agricultural products in various provinces in China,and the overall competitiveness of each province has a downward trend.(3)The improvement of the level of agricultural modernization has a promotion effect on the international competitiveness of agricultural products,and the promotion effect is more significant for regions with higher levels of agricultural modernization.(4)Agricultural modernization can improve the international competitiveness of agricultural products by improving the labor productivity of agricultural products.
