| In recent years,China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission has issued several policies to normalize the health management services of insurance companies,dividing the health management services into seven categories,namely,physical examination,health consultation,chronic disease management and so on,which has played an active role in solving the problems of serious homogenization of commercial health insurance products,high risk of nuclear insurance claims,and the gap between health insurance and health management services.At present,China’s health management services are in the elementary period of development,and people have different perceptions and preferences for different types of health management services.Life insurance companies should adopt health management services with high customer perception and satisfaction to conduct health intervention for customers,meet the high-frequency needs of customers to consult and consult with doctors at home,maintain the health of customers,reduce the risk of disease occurrence,and control medical expenses,even avoid adverse choice and ethical risk resulting from information asymmetry to a certain extent,so as to increase the competitiveness of its own health insurance products,improve customer acquisition ability,improve customer perception and satisfaction,strengthen client viscidity,and cut down unnecessary health insurance compensation,which has a certain role in promoting the improvement of its own health insurance operation efficiency.This article first presents the study backdrop and significance of the integration of health management services and commercial health insurance,and sorts out the related documents both here and abroad;Secondly,based on the relevant concepts of health management service and enterprise operation efficiency,based on the health demand theory,information asymmetry theory,health management theory and customer satisfaction index theory,this paper analyzes the impact of health examination services,health consulting services and chronic disease management services provided by life insurance companies on their own health insurance operation efficiency,and present study hypotheses;Then,according to the relevant data in the China Insurance Yearbook and the annual report of life insurance companies,the DEA model is used to calculate the operational efficiency of health insurance companies in 2017-2021,and then the obtained operational efficiency value is set as the explanatory variable.With the number of health check-ups,the online diagnosis and treatment market model and the chronic disease management market size as the explanatory variables,the relevant control variables are set up to establish a panel Tobit model to study health check-up services The impact of health consulting services and chronic disease management services on the operational efficiency of health insurance of life insurance companies was investigated.The sign,size and significance of the regression coefficient were examined,and the study conclusions were obtained.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows: According to the results of the health insurance operating efficiency of 20 life insurance companies from 2017 to2021,the health insurance operating efficiency of life insurance companies is generally good and relatively stable;Health examination service and health consulting service play an important role in boosting the efficiency of health insurance operation of life insurance companies;Chronic disease management services do not promote the efficiency of health insurance operation of life insurance companies.Finally,based on the research conclusion,this paper make some suggestions to improve the efficiency of health insurance operation of life insurance companies from the perspective of life insurance companies.Life insurance companies should promote the efficiency of their own health insurance operation by improving the service capacity of chronic disease management,enhancing the cooperation of all parties in the health industry chain,and reinforcing innovation in science and technology. |
