As China’s economy has entered a stage of high-quality development, the problems of agriculture, rural areas and the widening gap between rich and poor in urban and rural areas cannot be ignored. The 19th National Congress clearly pointed out that to promote rural revitalization, its central idea is to fundamentally solve the current unbalanced and inadequate contradiction of rural development in China. The rise of digital inclusive finance has brought new ideas for financial services for rural revitalization and narrowing the urban-rural income gap.Driven by digital economy and Internet technology, digital inclusive finance is gradually becoming a major development trend of inclusive finance. On this basis, digital finance quickly occupies a place in the financial market with its advantages of convenience and security. It covers financial services to backward and underdeveloped areas, making great contributions to narrowing the income gap and promoting social equity and justice, and also providing new ideas for promoting the rural revitalization strategy. The development of digital inclusive finance can effectively alleviate the long-standing problem of "dual structure" of urban and rural development in China, promote the economic development of rural areas, and bring new opportunities for realizing high-quality economic development in China. This topic will systematically discuss the internal connection between digital inclusive finance and urban and rural income gap from two aspects of theoretical and empirical evidence, which has important practical significance for further promoting the modernization process of realizing the common prosperity of the whole people proposed by the "20".In theory, this paper summarizes the mechanism of digital inclusive finance development on the income gap of urban and rural residents, and proposes the hypothesis of this topic. In the empirical aspect, based on the provincial panel data of 2011-2020,using the Thai index to measure the urban and rural income gap in China, combines the ordinary panel regression model, the intermediary effect model and the spatial dubin model, and reveals the influence mechanism.Research shows that: 1)With the development of digital financial inclusion,The urban-rural income gap has narrowed significantly,And with the change of the coverage, depth of use and digital level of digital inclusive finance,The above conclusions remain;2)In terms of the control variables,The impact of education level and openness on the urban-rural income gap is also significant,With the improvement of education level and openness to the outside world,The gap between urban and rural incomes has been significantly reduced;3)In terms of the mechanism of action,Develop digital financial inclusion,It can promote rural revitalization,Promote the prosperity of rural industries,Ecological and livable environment,Local customs and civilization,Governance is effective,People live a rich life,Thus reducing the income gap between urban and rural areas;4)At the same time, the income gap between urban and rural residents and the development of digital inclusive finance have a certain spatial dependence,The spatial "spillover" effect is more significant than the "competitive effect",The development of digital inclusive finance can improve the income gap in adjacent regions. Therefore,China should: 1)develop digital inclusive finance;2)promote the economic openness of the region and popularize digital finance knowledge education;3)promote the development of rural industry, improve rural ecological environment, strengthen rural governance and lead rural residents to get rich;4)strengthen the coordinated development of digital inclusive finance in adjacent areas, and make full use of other factors and digital inclusive finance to promote China number.
