| Marxist economists are an important group in the process of promoting the Sinicization of Marxism.Shen Zhiyuan,as a famous Marxist economist and one of the pioneers in the field of political economy in China,has made great contributions to the development of the political economy theory in the period of new democratic revolution,socialist revolution and construction,and is an important representative figure in the process of promoting the Sinicization of Marxist political economy.Shen Zhiyuan’s promotion of the Sinicization of Marxist political economy is the result of the combination of objective environment and subject conditions.From the perspective of the time background,Shen Zhiyuan was based on the outbreak of the world economic crisis in the 1930 s,the severe contraction of the domestic semicolonial and semi-feudal economy,and the lack of economic works close to China’s reality and popularization.From the perspective of subject conditions,Shen Zhiyuan’s study experience in Sun Yat-sen University and Institute of Chinese Studies in Moscow,his work experience in compiling Comintern magazine and Selected Works of Lenin,and his revolutionary process of participating in the national salvation movement and democratic movement are the practical basis of his research on Marxist political economy.The theory of political economy of classic Marxist writers,the thought of famous economists in Soviet Union and America,and his own profound accumulation of Marxist philosophy are the theoretical basis of his study of Marxist political economy.There are three practical paths for Shen Zhiyuan to promote the sinicization of Marxist political economy.First,based on large bookstores,Shen Zhiyuan edited and published a series of political and economic books by serving as the editor of Life Bookstore and Knowledge Bookstore.After the founding of the People’s Republic of China,he promoted the standardization of national publishing by serving as the director of the Compilation and Translation Bureau of the General Administration of Publication of the Central People’s Government.Second,based on major newspapers and periodicals,Shen Zhiyuan published a large number of political and economic articles through journals such as Theory and Reality,University Monthly,New Construction,Current Affairs,New China,World Knowledge and Modern Women,and was responsible for the editor-in-chief of some of these large academic journals.Third,based on university teaching,Shen Zhiyuan engaged in economics teaching in many universities in Beijing,Shanghai,Hong Kong and other places to spread and deepen the theory of political economy,some of the most influential works on political economy were compiled from handouts taken during teaching.The content of Shen Zhiyuan’s promotion of Sinicization of Marxist political economy can be summed up in the following aspects: The translation and introduction of the classic texts of Marxist political economy,the systematic and complete elaboration of the theoretical system of Marxist political economy,the application of Marxist political economy to analyze the economic problems in different periods of China,the application of Marxist political economy to analyze the development and current situation of the international economy.This paper summarizes the value and enlightenment of Shen Zhiyuan through the historical process of promoting the Sinicization of Marxist political economy.His historical contributions are mainly reflected in the theoretical influence on the economic circles at home and abroad,the practical promotion of the practice of Chinese revolution and construction,and the scientific guidance for the translation of Marxist classical texts in China.On the basis of summing up its historical experience and focusing on practical problems,the paper draws useful enlightenment for adhering to and developing the Marxist political economy principle and promoting the construction of socialist economy with Chinese characteristics. |
