The development of the food and beverage industry is rapid and variable.The competition and game between enterprises in the soft drinks industry have extended from market channels to the supply chain.Inventory management is a very important part of supply chain management.This paper takes K Company’s beverage inventory management as the research object,and will focus on the improvement and optimization of K Company’s beverage inventory management plan based on the actual situation and future development trends of the company.The research is conducted in the manner of raising,analyzing,solving problems,and formulating solutions one by one.In this paper research,the literature search method,data statistical analysis method,field research method,and decision optimization method will be used respectively.Optimize the finished product supply shortage and inventory stagnation of K Company,poor inventory turnover,and unreasonable safety inventory settings.Firstly,aiming at the problem of supply shortage and inventory stagnation of finished products,this paper designs an optimization prediction model.For three commodities,namely fruit juice,water,and soda,linear regression,moving average model,and exponential smoothing model are used to predict,and the MAPE value is used as an evaluation index to monitor the prediction results;Secondly,the inventory turnover of Company K is poor,mainly manifested in the long inventory turnover days and large inventory turnover.By shortening the delivery cycle and introducing third-party logistics,the inventory turnover cycle of various products of Company K is reduced,and then the management of customer orders is optimized.It is divided into three stages,namely,the unchangeable stage,the changeable stage,and the planning stage.Different management methods are adopted for orders at different stages,Next,optimize the business process of K Company to remove unnecessary steps and improve efficiency.Finally,based on the data provided by the procurement department of K Company,the optimal ordering batch,ordering point,safety inventory quantity,and reorder point for three types of products were calculated to address the issue of unreasonable safety inventory settings.
