In the past few years,China has continuously promoted the development and prosperity of the capital market.Auditing has gradually played a meaningful role in safeguarding the systematically operation of the market and promoting the steady improvement of China’s economic level.The thesis deeply analyzes the commonness and special reasons of the audit failure cases,in order to propose preventive countermeasures that have practical guiding significance and referential significance to the audit industry in China.The thesis uses a variety of research methods to the collected literature,data and other relevant information to achieve the anticipated research goals.First,the thesis presents the literature published by scholars of various countries and makes a comprehensive review.Secondly,the thesis summarizes the different definitions of audit failure,and at the same time expounds the three theoretical basis used by the thesis.Again,bases on the administrative penalty announcements related to accounting firms released by the China Securities Regulatory Commission from 2011 to 2020,the thesis analyzes the current situation of audit failures in China,and then outlines the basic information about BDO China and the six audit failure cases involved.In addition,the thesis combines the shortcomings of BDO China in undertaking,executing,and reviewing the audit services,and explores the common causes of all parties in the six consecutive audit failure cases of BDO China.At the same time,the thesis analyzes the differences in the causes of each case,and analyzes the cumulative number and nature of each cause to find the root cause of the continuous audit failure of BDO China.Finally,the thesis puts forward preventive suggestions in a targeted manner,hoping to help BDO China to reduce the frequency of audit failures,and also provide reference for other accounting firms in the audit industry to prevent audit failures.
