In the 14th Five-Year Plan,social responsibility has also been mentioned multiple times,such as "encouraging private enterprises to actively fulfill social responsibility".The emphasis and emphasis on social responsibility at the government level have attracted scholars to research social responsibility.When a company fulfills its social responsibility,it not only obtains lower financing costs by protecting the rights and interests of stakeholders,but also forms a good corporate reputation,helps the company enhance its risk resistance ability,and enhances its value.However,previous research has mainly focused on the relationship between social responsibility and corporate value,and there has been little research on how to quantify the value-added brought by social responsibility in commercial bank value evaluation.Therefore,this article selects China Merchants Bank as a case enterprise to evaluate its social responsibility performance through a combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis,to enrich the research perspective on corporate value,quantify the value added brought by a social responsibility to China Merchants Bank,and provide reference significance for other enterprises.China Merchants Bank has won multiple honors in the field of social responsibility,and its good performance in fulfilling social responsibility is representative and typical for commercial banks.Therefore,this article takes China Merchants Bank as the research object and uses stakeholder theory,pyramid model theory,and reputation mechanism to analyze the typical characteristics and economic and policy environment of commercial banks.Choose a two-stage economic value-added model to calculate the enterprise value of China Merchants Bank.In the calculation process,taking into account the characteristics of commercial banks,this article specifically adjusted the net operating profit after tax and total capital,constructed a social responsibility evaluation index system,introduced a social responsibility adjustment coefficient to adjust the cost of capital rate,and made the adjusted economic value-added model consider the influence factor of social responsibility.The paper applies the adjusted model to evaluate the corporate value of China Merchants Bank.The research results show that the evaluation results of China Merchants Bank’s social responsibility performance belong to "very good",and fulfilling social responsibility has increased the corporate value of China Merchants Bank by 136745 million yuan,with a value-added rate of 10.32%.At the end of the paper,based on China Merchants Bank’s social responsibility performance in economic,legal,ethical,and charitable aspects,targeted suggestions are proposed for commercial banks to enhance their emphasis on social responsibility and enhance corporate value.This article takes social responsibility as the research perspective and takes it into account in enterprise value evaluation.Taking commercial banks as the research object,a social responsibility evaluation index system for commercial banks is constructed,the enterprise value evaluation model is adjusted,and the enterprise value evaluation method is optimized.I hope that this study can enrich the research perspective in the field of corporate value and provide a reference for commercial banks,including China Merchants Bank,to optimize enterprise value evaluation methods and improve corporate value.
