| In recent years, the logistics industry has been playing an increasingly important role in China’s national economy and social development.Economic trade has extended to a global scale, leading to rapid growth in freight transportation.A single mode of transportation is no longer sufficient to meet the diverse demands.Additionally, multimodal transportation has the advantages of a long industrial chain, high resource utilization, and overall efficiency. Therefore, the development of multimodal transportation is of strategic significance for the sustainable development of China’s logistics industry. At the same time, performance evaluation plays a crucial role in the strategic development and daily management of enterprises, significantly impacting the achievement of enterprise goals and development. However, there is a lack of research on performance evaluation for multimodal transportation enterprises, and relying solely on financial evaluation is insufficient to meet the performance evaluation needs of these enterprises, thereby hindering their rapid and robust development. Therefore, focusing on multimodal transportation enterprises,it is important to establish a practical performance evaluation model that can provide corresponding strategies and decision-making references for the sustainable, healthy, and efficient development of multimodal transportation enterprises. The main research content includes the following aspects:(1)Analysis of performance-related content of multimodal transportation enterprises. In view of the relevant issues of multimodal transport enterprises, the concepts of multimodal transportation and multimodal transportation enterprises are explained, and an analysis is conducted on the current situation and problems of multimodal transportation enterprises,as well as the factors affecting the development of multimodal transportation. Finally, the methods for establishing commonly used evaluation indicator systems and performance evaluation are summarized to provide a basis for subsequent research.(2)Constructing an indicator system for evaluating the performance of multimodal transportation enterprises.Firstly, the evaluation indicators are extracted from the performance of general logistics enterprises by using the Meta-integration method.Secondly, the service content of multimodal transportation enterprises, the characteristics of multimodal transportation relative to ordinary logistics enterprises, and government policies are analyzed to extract performance evaluation indicators for multimodal transport enterprises. Finally, the performance indicators for multimodal transport enterprises are further screened and integrated by referring to the Balanced Scorecard theory.(3)To validate the established evaluation index system and determine the impact of each index on the performance of intermodal transport enterprises,a questionnaire was designed to assess the reliability and validity of the performance measurement system. The questionnaires were distributed and collected, and the data extracted from the questionnaires were computed to refine the evaluation index system by removing irrelevant indicators. The subjective weights of the evaluation indicators were determined using the G1 method, followed by the application of the DEMATEL method to determine the objective weights of the indicators. Finally, the combination weighting method based on game theory was employed to combine and assign weights to the indicators.(4)Applying fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to conduct a case study, further validating the practicality of evaluation indicators.Furthermore, summarizing the problems existing in the current stage of the company based on the evaluation results, and providing improvement suggestions for the company. |
