| General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasizes "promoting high levels of opening up to the public" in the report of the 20 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.Provide fundamental follow. In 1992,the economic cooperation mechanism of the Greater Mekong River(referred to as the subsequent region)was officially launched under the initiative of the Asian Development Bank, creating a good opportunity for economic cooperation in the six countries in the subsequent region. To this day,the economic cooperation of the Greater Mekong River has developed smoothly to the 30 th year. All member states of developing countries have long carried out import and export trade with the endowment of resources and labor elements.Essence However, with the launch of the Economic Cooperation Mechanism of the Greater Mekong River and the development of the country’s economy, the import and export trade between countries between the region has gradually transformed into the industry in the industry.Based on the import and export trade data of China and the Lancang-Mekong countries from 2001 to 2020,this paper depicts the change trend of intra-industry trade level, uses Tobit regression model and statistical methods to determine the static and dynamic intra-industrial trade levels and types of China and the Lancang-Mekong countries and China and the Greater Mekong Subregion as a whole from the national level and the industrial level, and analyzes the necessity of improving the intra-industry trade level to promote high-quality economic cooperation between countries by taking the transportation industry as an example.Further analyze the influencing factors of intra-industrial trade level in the Greater Mekong Subregion and give corresponding countermeasures and suggestions. Finally, taking Nezha Automobile’s investment and establishment of factories in Thailand as a case,we will understand and analyze the intra-industry trade cooperation and division of labor between China and Thailand in the new energy vehicle industry.Specifically, this paper demonstrates the following issues:First,Measure the level and type of intra-industry trade at the national level. From the static point of view, the overall level of intra-industry trade between China and the Greater Mekong Subregion during 2001-2020 is relatively high,in which intra-industry trade is the main trade between Vietnam and Thailand and China, while inter-industry trade is the main trade between Myanmar,Cambodia and Laos and China. From a dynamic point of view,intra-industry trade between China and the five Lancang-Mekong countries plays a small role in trade increment from 2002 to 2020.In intra-industry trade,China has mainly vertical trade with Cambodia,Laos and Myanmar. The intra-industry trade of our country and Thailand has experienced a transition course from level trade to vertical trade; In Vietnam,on the contrary, horizontal intra-industry trade replaces vertical intraindustry trade.Second,Measurement of intra-industry trade level and type at the industry level. From a static point of view, there are rich categories and spans of high-level intra-industrial trade in the Greater Mekong Subregion, and trade has gradually shifted from simple complementary trade of primary products to mutual division of labor in all links of the industrial chain. From a dynamic point of view, the intraindustrial trade between China and the Lancang-Mekong countries is dominated by vertical industrial trade, that is,the difference in product quality between countries is the main reason for intra-industrial trade.Specifically,it depends on the level of intra-industry trade in the transportation industry.China and the Lancang-Mekong countries are mainly inter-industry trade in various commodities in the transportation industry, but China and Thailand maintain a high level of intra-industry trade in Chapter 87 commodities, and generally look at the "Ushaped" curve, but the reasons for the high intra-industry trade level at both ends of the curve are completely different, and the roles of technology investment and high value-added division of labor are exchanged between the two countries, which also reflects the process of China’s continuous upgrading and development of industries in this field.Third,Analysis of influencing factors of intra-industry trade.Geographical distance, solidification of industrial structure, and per capita income differences will inhibit both horizontal and vertical intra-industry trade, foreign investment will promote both horizontal and vertical intra-industry trade, while economic scale and trade imbalance will hinder horizontal intra-industry trade and promote the development of intra-vertical trade, while market openness is the opposite. Therefore, fully tapping the space for cooperation with weaker countries, adjusting the order of national cooperation in a focused and directional manner, subdividing the vertical division of labor in the intermediate product market, promoting technological progress and promoting the development of product heterogeneity, and innovating investment models to tap the endogenous potential are important economic measures for in-depth trade cooperation between China and the Greater Mekong Subregion.Fourth,Nezha Automobile chose to invest in Thailand based on the factors of fierce competition in the domestic market,Thailand’s mature automobile manufacturing industry, tax incentives, sound legal system and the vast ASEAN window to the outside world. As a new car-making brand,Nezha can have a clear product user positioning, localized sales policies and flexible marketing methods, which is worthy of learning and reference for the majority of Chinese new energy enterprises. |
