In the fierce market competition environment, innovation has become the key to enterprise development and enhancing competitiveness. As the most basic innovation unit of an enterprise, the team’s innovation output is of great significance to the development of the enterprise. As the basis of innovation, knowledge determines the ability and level of team innovation to a certain extent.A team with rich perspectives and knowledge fields has more advantages in creativity and efficiency. It is difficult for an average team to create diverse knowledge in a short period of time,so the team began to focus on acquiring heterogeneous knowledge from the outside. In theoretical research, scholars mainly study the mechanism of team knowledge acquisition on innovation performance from the team’s senior management level, but team members are the main executors of team innovation and the main organizational part of the team. Therefore, from the level of team members,it is of great significance to study the influence mechanism of cross-boundary external learning behavior on team innovation performance. This article focuses on the influence of members’ cross-boundary external learning behavior on team innovation performance and its influence mechanism.Based on knowledge management theory, this paper uses cross-boundary external learning behavior of members as the independent variable, team innovation performance as the dependent variable, knowledge sharing as the intermediary variable, and team identity and superior feedback as moderator variables to construct a concept model.Using the questionnaire survey method,89 teams were investigated, and 213 valid questionnaires were collected.SPSS19.0 and AMOS17.0 software were used to hypothesize the collected valid questionnaires, and the following conclusions were drawn:(1)Members’ cross-boundaries external learning behavior has a significant positive impact on team innovation performance;(2)Knowledge sharing plays a part of mediating role between members’ cross-boundary external learning behavior and team innovation performance;(3)Team identification plays a positively moderating role on members’ cross-boundary external learning behavior and knowledge sharing and plays a mediated moderating role;(4)Positive feedback from superiors plays a positively moderating role on the relationship between members’ cross-boundary external learning behavior and knowledge sharing;(5)The superior negative feedback plays a negatively moderating role on the relationship between members’ cross-boundary external learning behavior and knowledge sharing. This article has important theoretical significance for enriching the research level of cross-boundary external learning behavior, exploring the mechanism and boundary conditions of cross-boundary learning behavior for team innovation performance, and also has important practical significance for how the team can improve its innovation performance through cross-boundary external learning behavior of members.
