2020 is an important year for China to build a moderately prosperous society, but the problem of income gap between rural and urban residents has become a stumbling block for Henan region to achieve a moderately prosperous society in all aspects. In recent years, the imbalance in the distribution of financial resources between urban and rural areas and market failure in Henan Province have led to low per capita disposable income and a large income gap between urban and rural areas.Digital inclusive finance combined with digital technologies such as big data analysis and cloud computing can enhance the convenience and accessibility of financial services, narrow the urban-rural income gap,and promote the work of poverty eradication. Therefore, studying the impact of digital inclusive finance on the urban-rural income gap plays an important role in implementing financial poverty alleviation policies and differentiated management of regional development, and also helps promote coordinated urban-rural development.Based on the panel data of 104 counties(cities)in Henan Province from 2014 to 2020,this paper analyzes the impact of digital inclusive finance on the urban-rural income gap from the perspective of counties in Henan Province using a fixed-effects panel regression model. This is followed by an empirical analysis using a panel quantile model,i.e.,to investigate whether digital inclusive finance has a greater impact on the urban-rural income gap located in the top 25%or the bottom 25%.Immediately after that,Henan Province is divided into five regions to explore the size of the impact brought by digital inclusive finance on different regions. Finally, the findings of this paper are summarized and summarized. After conducting theoretical analysis and empirical regression, the following conclusions are proposed:1.Convergence effect.Digital inclusive finance can significantly reduce the income gap between urban and rural residents, and the convergence effect is heterogeneous for regions with different levels of urban-rural income gap,and the convergence effect is better for regions with excessive income gap;2.The effect of convergence of urban-rural income gap has unbalanced effects among different regions, and it has a more significant effect on urban-rural income gap in regions with lower levels of economic development, compared with Yuzhong The convergence effect is more significant in East and North Henan than in Central and West Henan;3.Income distribution effect. The empirical results show that the income promotion effect of digital inclusive finance for rural residents is more significant than that for urban residents, and the development of digital inclusive finance can regulate income distribution through the trickle-down effect, thus suppressing the income gap between urban and rural residents.
