The Impact Of Technological Progress On Economic Growth In Hebei Province

Hebei Province is an important province in the coastal area,an important part of the Bohai Rim Economic Circle,and an important functional area and industrial bearing area for the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei.Under the background of economic development entering the new normal,the key to maintaining stable economic growth in Hebei Province is to carry out industrial structure transformation and upgrading,increase investment in science and technology,and promote development with science and technology.To this end,it is of great significance to deeply study the impact of scientific and technological progress on the economy of Hebei Province.On the basis of researching the theory of economic growth and sorting out the literature related to scientific and technological progress promoting economic development,this paper fully analyzes the current situation of economic development and scientific and technological progress in Hebei Province,and then uses the input-output method as a research method to measure the degree of influence of scientific and technological progress in the process of economic development in Hebei Province.Firstly,according to the research purpose,the input-output analysis is used,a large number of literature is referred to,and on the basis of the current price input-output tables compiled by Hebei Province in 2012 and 2017,the product departments of the input-output table are merged,so as to construct the input-output table of 12 departments in Hebei Province in 2012 and 2017.Then,on the basis of the current price input-output table of the 12 departments,taking 2017 as the base period,the price index of Hebei Province in 2012 is calculated,and then the current price input-output table of the 12 departments in 2012 is converted into a comparable input-output table.According to the comparable input-output table of 12 departments in 2012 and the current input-output table of 12 departments in 2017,the improvement of the technical level of Hebei Province and various industrial sectors from 2012 to 2017 is calculated,as well as the progress of different types of technology:changes in the quality of factor inputs,changes in economic structure and changes in the management level of production organizations contribute to the overall economic growth of Hebei Province.Finally,based on empirical analysis and research conclusions,the countermeasures for hebei province’s technological progress to promote further economic development are proposed:to promote the continuous progress of cutting-edge technologies and improve the technological progress of factor input;Adjust industrial policies and promote the optimization and upgrading of the economic structure;Improve the management level of production organization.
