Research On The Dynamic Mechanism And Path Of Balanced Economic Development In China’s Western Region

Since the reform and opening up,China’s rapid economic growth has been accompanied by a gradual expansion of regional economic disparities and intensifying conflicts of interest.The report of the 19 th National Congress points out that the main contradiction at the present stage of China is the contradiction between the people’s growing need for a better life and the unbalanced and insufficient development,which indicates that the problems of coordinated and balanced regional development need to be solved urgently.As an economically underdeveloped region in China,the unbalanced degree of economic development in the western region is obvious,which seriously hinders the process of coordinated regional economic development in China.In this context this thesis chooses to study the dynamic mechanism and realization path of balanced economic development in the western region,which is precisely a powerful exploration of the problem of regional development differentiation and imbalance in a targeted manner,and is of great significance to accelerate the formation of a regional economic layout with complementary advantages and high quality development and to realize the balanced development of China’s regional economy.Firstly,this thesis sorts out the relevant literature and related theories on balanced regional economic development,then analyzes the basic status of economic development in the western region from multiple perspectives of economic development in order to have a preliminary understanding of the multiple aspects of economic development in the western region,further constructs an index system to measure the level of economic development in the western region from four dimensions of economic efficiency,economic structure,green development and people’s life,and on Secondly,the dynamic factors affecting the economic development of the western region are deduced from the theoretical model,and the inner mechanism of the four dynamic factors driving the balanced economic development of the western region is analyzed in detail,then the dynamic factors are empirically tested,and on the basis of the theoretical and empirical analysis,a suitable path for the balanced economic development of the western region is summarized from the perspective of the market and the government.Finally,based on the findings of this thesis,we propose policy recommendations to promote the balanced economic development of the western region.The main conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)The economic development level of each province in the western region shows a rapid upward trend,but there are obvious disparities between internal regions and provinces,showing an unbalanced development pattern of "high in the south and low in the north",and the unbalance shows a trend of fluctuation and decline.(2)Science and technology factor,capital factor,labor factor and policy system factor are the key driving force,accelerating force,basic driving force and guiding force driving the balanced economic development of the western region respectively;(3)Capital factor and policy system factor are the main factors driving the balanced economic development of the western region;(4)There is obvious regional heterogeneity in the factors driving the balanced economic development of the northwest and southwest regions,among which The level of marketization and the level of opening to the outside world are the main factors driving the balanced economic development in the western region,and capital and labor are the main factors driving the balanced development in the southwest region;(5)giving full play to institutional advantages by policy guidance,giving full play to market regulation by optimizing the market,and adopting a differentiated and structured driving approach are the realization paths for the balanced economic development in the western region.Based on the main findings of this thesis,targeted policy recommendations are proposed,such as enhancing the collaboration between government and market by releasing market dynamics,focusing on the timeliness of policies,and building a new inter-provincial spatial linkage model and benefit compensation mechanism.
