| The rational allocation of agricultural labor resources is of great significance to the rational allocation of agricultural production factors and the development of agricultural economy.At present,China’s agricultural labor market is in a state of complete competition within regions and market segmentation between regions,and agricultural labor resources have not been effectively allocated.Therefore,based on the new economic geography and public finance,this paper studies how the Government Transportation financial expenditure uses the transportation infrastructure to affect the segmentation of agricultural labor market,in order to improve the efficiency of agricultural labor allocation.This paper makes an empirical test using urban data and survey data,and draws the following conclusions.The increase of transportation financial expenditure will reduce the segmentation of agricultural labor market,and the transportation financial expenditure mainly depends on the mileage of rural roads to affect the segmentation of agricultural labor market.In addition,the impact of transportation financial expenditure on the segmentation of agricultural labor market is heterogeneous.In economically backward areas,the increase of transportation financial expenditure will significantly reduce the segmentation of agricultural labor market,which may be related to the imperfect rural transport facilities in economically backward areas.The impact of transportation financial expenditure on the segmentation of agricultural labor market in economically developed areas is not significant.Based on the above results,it can be considered that the government’s investment in transportation infrastructure is conducive to the rational allocation of agricultural labor resources.Therefore,this paper puts forward the following three suggestions:firstly,it is suggested that the government should make a long-term investment plan when investing in transportation infrastructure;Secondly,it is suggested to continue to strengthen the construction of rural roads throughout the country,especially in economically backward areas,we should improve the rural road network.Finally,it is suggested that the government should increase subsidies for rural public transport and promote the improvement of rural public transport facilities. |
