Cinnamon is not only a famous Chinese medicinal material in Guangxi,but also an important economic pillar in Guangxi.In China’s rural revitalization strategies,the most important thing is "industrial prosperity".Fangchenggang City boasts a unique natural environment and geographical advantages for planting cinnamon,and has the title of "hometown of cinnamon".However,cinnamon is now mainly planted by retail households in the city,and the problems of low added value of the product are prominent,and it is difficult to meet the requirements of industrial prosperity.under the new circumstances,it is worthy of in-depth study about how to enhance its strengths and avoid its weakness,and how to perform an important role in rural revitalization.In addition,this paper investigates the current situation of cinnamon industry in the city in a deep manner,analyzes the problems and causes in the development of the industry,and proposes corresponding countermeasures.The research results of the paper have important guiding significance for the healthy development of the cinnamon industry in the region.Based on the previous research results on the development of cinnamon industry and other featured agricultural industries,as well as on-the-spot investigations and interviews,this paper uses SWOT analysis to conclude the key issues restricting the development of cinnamon industry in the region: The development advantages of cinnamon industry are not fully utilized;the city failed to take effective measures to overcome development disadvantages;the city failed to seize the due development opportunities;and the city has failed to address development treats in a timely way.Through the application of the Scale-Economy Theory,Smile Curve Theory,six industry theory,transaction cost and other theories to guide the on-the-spot research,analysis of questionnaires and so on,the important reasons for the existence of these key problems in the cinnamon industry in Fangchenggang City,Guangxi are revealed: the low scale degree;weak promotion of specialization;devoid of marketing and branding.Finally,the corresponding countermeasures should be formed to cope with the reasons that hinder the development of the cinnamon industry in the region,improve the level of large-scale production,enhance the level of specialized production,strengthen marketing and brand building.The city should provide a strategic choice for the cinnamon industry to get rid of the difficulties encountered in the development process,with a view to promote the development of the cinnamon industry and increase the income of cinnamon farmers. |
