The Impact Of China’s Direct Investment On ASEAN’s Foreign Trade

As C hina continues to expand the scale of foreign direct investment,C hina has an increasing influence on the trade of investment regions.This paper mainly studies the impact of C hina’s direct investment in the ASEAN region on the ASEAN trade structure,and obtains the mechanism by which C hina’s direct investment affects regional trade.Firstly,this paper summarizes the foreign direct trade theory and investment theory,analyzes the trade situation of ASEAN countries,and introduces the situat ion of China’s direct investment in ASEAN;secondly,it analyzes the influence mechanism of Chinese direct investment on the trade structure of ASEAN countries.Using empirical analysis as the main research method,this paper studies the actual impact of China’s direct investment on ASEAN’s trade structure and trade scale.Through the research,it is found that China’s direct investment in the ASEAN region can produce technology spillovers,capital accumulation,human resource effects and institutional effects,which can have an impact on the optimization of the ASEAN region’s trade structure.C hinese direct investment can promote the development of technology in the ASEAN region and optimize the foreign trade structure of the ASEAN region.Although changes in ASEAN’s exchange rate and infrastructure will have a certain inhibitory effect on the import trade between China and ASEAN,it can play a positive role in the adjustment of the trade structure and scale between China and ASEAN.Therefore,In general,China’s direct investment in the ASEAN region will promote the adjustment and development of the bilateral trade structure,thereby affecting the development of foreign trade in the ASEAN region.Through C hina’s direct investment in ASEAN,the trade between C hina and ASEAN has been further expanded and the structure has been further optimized.To this end,China and the ASEAN region need to increase cooperation to promote bilateral trade cooperation,especially in agriculture and manufacturing.It is necessar y to strengthen the construction of business platforms at home and abroad to promote the development of regional trade internationally.to promote the cooperation between the two sides in infrastructure construction,attach importance to cultivating the international competitiveness of enterprises of both sides,and optimize and promote China’s larger-scale direct investment in the ASEAN region.
