Research On Improvement Of Main Control Valve Assembly Line Of C Company Based On Lean Theory

The current global economic environment has become increasingly unstable due to the tension between China and the US and the impact of the COVID-19.As a wholly-owned US company,Company C is particularly affected by this environment.At the same time,as the world’s leading heavy machinery company,it is also facing the impact of many local heavy industry companies in China,and its market share is constantly decreasing.In order to ensure the interests of the company,reducing operating costs has become a necessary choice.As a production-oriented company,the production cost is the largest part of the operating cost,so how to reduce the production cost is the focus of the research of heavy industry companies.Based on Lean Theory,this thesis studies the production line of Company C through industrial engineering methods and PDCA management methods.First,through data collection and on-site inspection,the current production line of Company C was obtained,and then combined with the type of production line,the main control valve assembly line was finally selected as the research target.Secondly,the production process of the MCV assembly line was reviewed,and it was found that there were problems in the production process,such as low production balance rate and serious non-value-added waste.Then determine the ideas for improvement,assign the discovered problems to different departments,cooperate to optimize,and set up safeguards.Lastly,determine the effect of improvement.Through improvement,the production line balance rate of various products in the MCV assembly line has increased from about 80% to more than 95%,the number of products in process has been reduced by three,and the number of personnel has been reduced by one,which greatly improves the production efficiency of the production line and saves costs.Through the research of the MCV assembly line,the standardized process of the production line on-site improvement project is finally summarized,which provides ideas for the company’s future improvement,and comprehensively improves the company’s production efficiency and reduces production costs.
