Research On The Influence Of Industrial Chain Modernization On Industrial Technology Progress

Along with our country economic development pattern and industrial system of escalating,rely on the introduction of foreign technology to promote industrial technology progress in China the role played by weakening,at the same time as a result of international trade friction,the innovation of transmission to a certain extent by blocking,in this context must be great importance to the development of indigenous innovation source in our country,and rely on the upstream and downstream industry cooperation,Form a sound environment for industrial development.Therefore,in 2020,the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19 th CPC Central Committee proposed that during the "14th five year plan" period,we should accelerate the modernization of the industrial chain,adhere to autonomy,efficiency,safety and controllability,significantly improve the development level of the whole industrial chain,accelerate the establishment of a modern industrial system,and provide strong support for promoting high-quality development in an all-round way.In this context,based on the research basis of existing literature,this thesis constructs a comprehensive evaluation index system from six dimensions of independent control,safety and reliability,high added value,industrial foundation,factor support and upstream and downstream coordination to measure the modernization level of China’s industrial chain.On this basis,a panel data model is constructed.This thesis quantitatively studies the influence of modernization level of 36 major industrial chains in China on technological progress,explores the mediating effect of human capital level,and also studies the moderating effect of ownership structure in industries on the influence of industrial chain modernization on technological progress.The research results show that,first,from 2002 to 2019,the overall modernization level of China’s industrial chain shows an upward trend,and the level of all industries has similar trends.On the whole,technology-intensive industrial chain has the highest modernization level,followed by capital-intensive industrial chain,and labor-intensive industrial chain has the lowest modernization level.Secondly,the modernization level of upstream industry chain,downstream industry chain and the comprehensive modernization level of industrial chain all have a significant positive impact on industrial technological progress,and the influence degree of upstream modernization level is higher than that of downstream modernization level.Thirdly,the level of human capital plays a part of mediating effect in the impact of industrial chain modernization on technological progress,that is,the level of industrial chain modernization can not only directly promote technological progress,but also indirectly affect technological progress through the intermediary channel of improving human capital level.Fourthly,for the comprehensive level of industrial chain modernization,ownership structure plays a significant positive moderating role in its impact on technological progress,that is,with the increase of the proportion of state-owned capital in the industry,the promotion role of industrial chain modernization on technological progress is effectively enhanced.At the same time,the moderating effect of ownership structure on the impact of industrial chain modernization on industrial technological progress has obvious industry heterogeneity.The moderating effect is strongest in technology-intensive industries,followed by resource-intensive industries,while the moderating effect is not significant in labor-intensive industries.On the basis of the study,in order to achieve industrial modernization,the government should strengthen the industrial infrastructure,breakthrough key generic technology industry,as soon as possible breakthrough innovation quality and innovation in our country does not match the number of questions,encourage the use of the Internet and big data platform implementation main body,elements such as efficient co-ordination,to build modern industrial system,We will push China’s products up the international value chain.At the same time,we should improve the level of R&D human capital,give play to the leading and demonstration role of state-owned capital,and finally realize the coordinated development of industrial chain and technological progress,and build a perfect industrial chain innovation ecological system.
