| In the era of knowledge economy,technological innovation and standardization play an important role in improving enterprise performance and promoting enterprise development.The data used in this article includes the data of listed manufacturing companies participating in the formulation of national standards from 2014 to 2018,the data of standard essential patents from1993 to 2019,as well as on-site interviews with Huawei employees,information on Huawei’s official website,annual reports,internal publications,books and executive speeches.Based on the above data,firstly,the impact of standard setting on enterprise performance is empirically analyzed;secondly,with Huawei as the case study object,an international comparison of standards and patent synergy capabilities is conducted,and the impact of standard setting on enterprise performance is analyzed.The research shows that: first,the ability to standardize technology is conducive to improving corporate performance,compared with state-owned enterprises,technical standardization ability has a more obvious role in promoting enterprise performance in nonstate-owned enterprises;second,in the field of international standards,Huawei has achieved a leap from 2G blank,3G follow-up,4G equivalent and 5G to lead,and the impact process of standard setting on Huawei’s corporate performance is mainly divided into three stages:standard learning and enterprise survival,standard application and enterprise growth,standard leading and enterprise surpassing.In conclusion,in order to improve the voice of enterprises in the international market and achieve high-quality development,enterprises and governments can make efforts from the following aspects.In terms of enterprises,they should pay attention to standardization activities,improve their innovation capabilities,enhance their core competitiveness,and form a leapforward development from learning standards,using standards to formulating standards.As far as the government is concerned,it should strengthen positive communication with enterprises,provide enterprises with a good R&D environment,formulate public policies to encourage enterprises to produce high-quality patents,actively participate in standard formulation,promote the coordinated development of standards and patents,and promote China’s transformation from a large patent country to a patent powerful country. |
