The sharing economy is a new development model that has gotten a lot of attention in recent years.Online car hailing is an important aspect of shared travel,which is a fundamental part of the shared economy.The sector of online car-hailing is quickly expanding,with a market size of $100 billion.This study examines the professional identity of online car hailing drivers in the contemporary period using existing data,a questionnaire survey of 14 6 online car hailing drivers,and in-depth interviews with 16 online car hailing drivers.After examining the shortcomings of many dimensions of social support for car hailing drivers,this study looks into solutions to improve car hailing drivers’ professional identities.So that the car hailing industry and the sharing economy can grow in a sustainable and healthy way.There is currently a dual trend in the professional identity of online car hailing drivers,with some people disliking the industry,having low recognition of the industry,and being able to quit at any time,and others who have a strong sense of professional identity,have developed a way of surviving in the industry,and intend to stay in the industry for a long time.Overall,drivers have a low sense of professional identity.Not only the platform’ s improvements and care,but also the people who are present in daily life but are most likely to be overlooked and closely associated with online taxi drivers,formally or informally support them,are sources of professional well-being and satisfaction for online car hailing drivers.The social support of online car hailing drivers is broken down into four categories in this study: native support,interpersonal support,platform support,and passenger support.The social support network must form an organic combination to promote the professional identity of online car hailing drivers,and the lack of any one aspect may lead to burnout and professional withdrawal.In the meantime,the whole development process of the industry will be influenced by national policies and national coordinated planning,which,as a combination of macro and micro,has an impact on the restraint,management,and industry advancement of the online car hailing business and cannot be disregarded.This study uses professional cognitive,professional emotional and professional behavior as the key entrance points for the research on the professional identity of online car hailing drivers,based on relevant research results.This study is carried out from two perspectives in terms of countermeasure research,based on these three dimensions: improving policy support and platform support for online car hailing drivers.The total development of the industry is inextricably linked to national policy support.The external needs to improve online car hailing professional identity are standardizing industry access,establishing supervision mechanisms,and reconstructing professional image;the internal development needs of online car hailing drivers are promoting social integration,improving social security,improving labor skills,and expanding career paths.Establishing professional advantages and increasing platform development are the proper meanings of establishing the professional status of drivers at the platform support level.In order to achieve the virtual emotional engagement of online car hailing drivers and develop a community temperament,it is necessary to deepen professional exchanges and enhance professional interaction.The foundation for drivers to establish professional emotional identity is taking on social duty and improving professional attribution.The key to drivers’ professional behavior is ensuring a professional income and weakening professional penalties.The evolution of online car hailing is inextricably linked to each driver’ s quiet cultivation.Reasonable industry rules and internal development space go hand in hand to improve the professional pleasure and sense of gain of online car hailing drivers,resulting in a new shared situation of online travel. |
