| With the expanding scale and increasing complexity of engineering projects,technological innovation has become an inevitable demand for the development of traditional construction field.It is of great theoretical and methodological significance to study the evolutionary characteristics and influencing factors of technological innovation in construction core enterprises to quantify and understand the innovation characteristics of construction enterprises.Enterprises are not "islands" of innovation,and their innovation is influenced by relational networks.The study of enterprise innovation from a single network perspective has become increasingly mature,but enterprises are a complex system,and it is rare to investigate the evolutionary characteristics and influencing factors of technological innovation based on a multi-level network perspective.This paper explored the evolution and influencing factors of technological innovation in construction core enterprises.First,this paper conducted a specific analysis of the technological innovation status of construction core enterprises.In the exploration process,this paper divided the enterprises into four categories according to their categories and key business areas,and explored the technological innovation trends of different types of enterprises respectively.Then,in order to study the evolutionary characteristics of technological innovation in construction core enterprises,this paper used patent data and network information as data sources to construct two two-layer networks.One two-layer network model N-one of enterprise patent cooperation network-IPC co-occurrence network;and another two-layer network model N-two of enterprise patent cooperation network-patent subject similarity network.Second,this paper defined three innovation types in model N-one and explored the distribution of innovation types of different types of building core firms.Then,this paper defined three cooperation types and different innovation development stages of firms in model N-two,and explored the dynamic evolution trend of cooperation types of firms and the relationship between collaborators and technology themes in different development stages.Finally,this paper constructed a multi-factor influence model of enterprise technology innovation based on the negative binomial regression model.In order to ensure relatively many variables and prevent variable multicollinearity,this paper constructed a variable selection model and a sampling stepwise regression model to solve the multi-factor influence model.In addition,this paper quantified the impact of three main indicators and the included secondary indicators on firm technological innovation: enterprise network structure,enterprise own attributes,and enterprise knowledge attributes.The results show that,first of all,the number of patents of construction core enterprises has been rising year by year,the geographical distribution of patents is uneven,and there is an imbalance in the technological innovation of different types of enterprises.At the same time,digital technology emerges as the technological theme of enterprises,which means that traditional enterprises have a tendency to transform and upgrade to digitalization.Secondly,there are more and more cooperative groups consisting of construction core enterprises,and more and more types of technologies are involved,but the cooperation between enterprises is not close,mostly smallscale cooperation,so there are a large number of potential cooperative relationships.Then,the highest proportion of enterprises that have worked together before continue to maintain cooperative relationships.Construction enterprises tend to cooperate with mature enterprises,but the partners of mature enterprises are more stable,while the start-up enterprises have a strong willingness to cooperate.Finally,this paper found that enterprise knowledge attributes have the greatest influence on the technological innovation of construction core enterprises,and enterprise knowledge breadth and knowledge depth have a positive and negative relationship on the influence of enterprise technological innovation.Enterprises with high knowledge breadth have stronger ability to obtain cross-information,which can shorten innovation cycle and improve innovation efficiency.However,as the breadth of knowledge increases,it increases the cost of innovation and leads to information redundancy.Enterprises with high depth of knowledge can generate problemspecific solutions and processes.Likewise,over-exploitation of a firm’s knowledge base can negatively affect its technological innovation. |
