In recent years,China’s urbanization process has accelerated rapidly,and the record of traditional automobile ownership has been constantly refreshed,leading to the depletion of the country’s energy resources and serious ecological environment pollution.In order to reduce the negative impact of environmental energy,new energy vehicles with low energy consumption and pollution have gradually entered the public’s vision.At present,the development process of China’s new energy vehicle industry is rapid,but there is still a gap between the core technology and foreign countries,so it is urgent to promote the innovation and development of China’s new energy vehicle technology.As the main body of technological innovation,enterprises should assume important responsibilities and invest limited resources in technological innovation to improve their competitiveness.Based on this,this paper analyzes the technological innovation ability of new energy vehicle enterprises.Based on the theory of technological innovation,this paper sorts out the research on the evaluation of the technological innovation ability of scholars,and combined with the current technological innovation ability of China’s new energy vehicle enterprises,this paper builds a new energy vehicle enterprise technology innovation ability index system,including 4 first-level indicators,13 secondary indicators and 15third-level indicators.On the basis of establishing an index system for new energy vehicle enterprises,12 listed companies,including 9 vehicle enterprises and 3 component enterprises,have been screened out for data analysis in the past six years from the sales ranking of existing new energy vehicle enterprises in China,the main business information and technological innovation of enterprises.Then,the entropy-TOPSIS method is used to calculate the scores and rankings of 12 enterprises,and the ranking results are comprehensively and studied vertically and horizontally.Using the K-Means clustering method to classify the technological innovation capabilities of 12 enterprises in 2020,we obtained four types of enterprises with technological innovation capabilities,including BYD and Geely Automobile’s leading innovation enterprises;four leading innovation enterprises such as Great Wall Automobile and SAIC Group;and four enterprises such as Weichai Power and Chang’an Automobile.Follow innovative enterprises;Wolong Electric Drive and Yutong Bus are two imitating innovative enterprises.Finally,this paper puts forward the following suggestions for four types of enterprises with technological innovation ability to improve their technological innovation ability: leading innovation enterprises should focus on maintaining high-quality patent output;Leading innovation enterprises should focus on improving their innovation investment capacity;Follow innovative enterprises to focus on coordinating the proportion of R&D capital investment;Imitating innovative enterprises should focus on reducing debt repayment risks and improving the development of green performance.This provides a reference for China’s leading innovation,leading innovation,following innovation and imitating innovation to improve their technological innovation capabilities.
