Since the "the Belt and Road" initiative was put forward, the import and export trade of countries and regions along the route has been increasing.Energy,as a natural resource and basic means of production,is crucial to the formation and development of the trade network along the Belt and Road.Countries can not only trade energy products directly, but also trade energy products consumed in the production process indirectly in their non-energy product trade. Therefore,in order to comprehensively analyze the energy cooperation among countries along the Belt and Road and further promote the sustainable development of "the Belt and Road",this thesis uses the multi-regional input-output method to calculate the direct and indirect energy(in terms of total energy or embodied energy)trade along the region from 2000 to 2015.Based on the analysis of complex network, the evolution of embodied energy trade structure of countries along the route is discussed, and is compared with the direct energy trade network.Furthermore,in order to explore the influencing factors of embodied energy trade of countries along the Belt and Road, this paper uses Quadratic Assignment Procedure(QAP)correlation analysis and regression analysis to further explore the relationship between the network matrix of trade implicit energy and the influence factor matrix of countries along the Belt and Road. The results show that, from the perspective of regional evolution, the amount of energy embodied in the trade of "the Belt and Road" has increased by 97.98%.In addition, the gap between the import and export of energy embodied in the world’s major economies such as China’s mainland and Russia is constantly expanding. In terms of the proportion of industry,in the intermediate trade, resource exploitation and heavy industry are the leading factors of energy trade in the countries along the route. The proportion of resource exploitation industry remains around 65%,while that of heavy industry has reached 25%,showing a gradual upward trend. In the final trade, energy trade is mainly concentrated in heavy industry and light industry. This paper also uses the complex network analysis method to construct the trade network of embodied energy along the "the Belt and Road" from the perspective of the country. It can be seen that the areas along the "the Belt and Road" show an obvious process of community differentiation, and the differences in cluster structure make the economies more and more closely connected.Since the " the Belt and Road " initiative was first proposed in2013,the trade embodied energy network of countries along the Belt and Road has been closely connected, and the network density has increased by 26%.The Chinese mainland and Russia are always at the forefront of the point degree, point intensity and other indicators of the " the Belt and Road " trade embodied energy network, and occupy a central position in the whole trade network.Compared with the direct energy trade network, the results show that there are differences in network density, point degree, point intensity and centrality. In the direct energy trade network, the ties between China’s mainland and Russia and other countries of the Belt and Road are closer than those in the embodied energy. In addition, the geographic distance between countries, between any two countries whether adjacent land, the language and culture are the same, the country’s economic development level, industrial structure and population of countries along the area trade embodied energy network has a significant effect,in which countries are adjacent land and population 1% significance level,it means it is the main influencing factor of the network. The proposal is bringing benefits to the areas along the route, but the development of this initiative in energy resources, energy cooperation, carbon emission and energy security still needs attention.
