| Due to the rapid development of the Internet, the rise of e-commerce has a strong impact on the traditional clothing manufacturing industry and offline stores. And with the global spread of the COVID-19 in 2020,the global clothing industry is making things worse. The pressure of the apparel industry will increase, shrinking market, high price pressure, narrow profits, unstable customer demand and etc. Therefore,in order to survive and develop, traditional clothing enterprises must improve their own operating efficiency, and the important key is the inventory management. In this paper, the research object is the small micro Y company, focusing on the optimization of Y company’s inventory management.First of all,the current inventory management situation is summarized and analyzed, and then identify three problems of inventory management:single sales channel, insufficient supply chain capacity and lack of inventory management system.Secondly, the corresponding optimization solutions are put:expanding the sales channels, improvement of the flexibility of the supply chain, and establishment of the inventory management system. In the scheme,ABC classification method is applied to take different inventory management methods for different commodities;and the supply chain efficiency is improved by the theory of delayed manufacturing and TOC constraints. Finally,in the evaluation of the implementation effect of the optimization scheme, the analysis is made from two dimensions:the inventory is significantly reduced, and the financial risk is reduced;reduce the shortage rate of finished products, improve the level of customer service;and then improve the work efficiency of employees and the operation efficiency of the company. Therefore,Y company needs to establish a correct awareness of inventory management, establish a scientific inventory management system, and promote the information construction of inventory management. The optimization scheme of this paper can provide reference for the same type of clothing small micro enterprises in their inventory management. |
