Abstract/Summary:
Serious games play an important role as an innovative teaching tool in fields such as medicine,training,and the military.This article introduces serious games into digital circuit simulation experiments to create a virtual simulation environment with rich sensory experiences and good interactivity,addressing the issues of poor interactivity and low immersion in digital circuit simulation software in recent years.Based on the current research status of serious games and digital circuit simulation experiments,this article explores the shortcomings of digital circuit simulation experiments and proposes a solution that incorporates the concept of serious games into virtual simulation experiments for digital circuits.Firstly,this paper selected several classic chip logic function experiments,combinational logic circuit experiments,and sequential logic circuit experiments in digital circuits as the virtual simulation objects.The 3Ds Max software was used to build virtual laboratories and experimental equipment models,while Solid Works was used to construct electronic component models.The Unity 3D game development engine was employed to create chip bases,and the Obi plugin was utilized to build wire models,addressing the issue of rigid wire models in previous digital circuit simulations.All the models were imported into Unity 3D for environment rendering,resulting in the creation of a realistic virtual experimental scene for digital circuits.Secondly,this paper conducted logical analysis of each experimental scenario and utilized the physics engine in Unity 3D to develop C# scripts that enable users to control the virtual experimental scene and connect circuits.Collision detection was implemented to determine the success of circuit connections.Furthermore,logical analysis and algorithm processing were performed on the circuits in each scenario,simulating real-time output feedback and experimental phenomena.The visualization of sequential logic waveforms was achieved,allowing users to conveniently and quickly conduct digital circuit experiments in a virtual environment while intuitively observing experimental phenomena.Thirdly,gesture recognition is achieved using the Media Pipe framework based on OpenCV.Gesture information is sent to Unity 3D through UDP communication,enabling gesture-based circuit connections and reducing user cognitive burden.In order to optimize the digital circuit virtual simulation experiments and facilitate user understanding of digital circuit experiments,additional features such as registration and login functions based on MySQL,roaming in the experimental scene,scene selection and switching functions,and experimental prompts are implemented.Finally,the digital circuit virtual simulation experiments are tested and user experience tested by modular functional testing,and the experiments are published as an application for virtual simulation experiments.Through a user satisfaction survey,it was found that the digital circuit virtual simulation experiments possess reliability,authenticity,and interactivity.The developed digital circuit virtual simulation experiments provide students with a good learning platform,helping them understand the basic knowledge of digital circuits.The digital circuit virtual simulation experiments bring a new teaching method and approach to the education industry,promoting innovation and development in digital circuit education.
