In recent years,the digital economy has been developing rapidly,penetrating comprehensively and radiating deeply,becoming a key force in restructuring global factor resources,reshaping the global economic structure,and changing the global competitive landscape.China is leading the global development of the digital economy,and various industries are setting up digital concepts and using digital technology for transformation and upgrading.In particular,retail companies are using digital empowerment to reach more internal and external resources,promoting the continuous evolution of their business ecosystems,and further promoting value co-creation.This paper focuses on Company X,a leading enterprise in the retail industry of mother and baby products.Based on theories such as business ecosystems,value co-creation,this paper uses research methods such as literature studies,comparative analysis,and expert interviews to systematically analyze the digital transformation drivers and paths of Company X,explore the value co-creation mechanism in the process of digital transformation from the perspective of business ecosystem evolution,and then make suggestions and recommendations for China’s retail industry’s digital transformation.The research concludes that Company X’s digital transformation is driven by national policies,digital technology,consumer preferences,internal evolution of the retail industry of mother and baby products,and company development strategies.The path of digital transformation mainly includes building digital management platforms and tools,constructing digital channels and stores,and establishing a digital supply chain.The value co-creation mechanism of digital transformation is to better perceive the external environment and accumulate data resources through the use of digital technology and concepts,and use data resources to improve products and services,reconstruct consumption scenarios,and improve operational efficiency,thereby integrating resources and capabilities to achieve multi-level value creation at individual,organizational,and system levels,and realizing the benign evolution of the business ecosystem.The following conclusions are drawn from the research and analysis: Firstly,digital transformation in the retail industry is the trend,and future business model changes cannot be separated from digital technology.Enterprises should firmly follow the direction of digital transformation strategy.Secondly,using digital technology to reconstruct people,goods,and scenes centered on consumers is the key path for retail companies’ digital transformation.Thirdly,in value creation,enterprises should pay attention to the allocation and coordination of digital technology and data resources to promote the sustainable growth of their business ecosystem.
