The airborne polarization array radar has the ability to acquire space-time domain data and polarization domain information at the same time.When the target is detected in the background of complex clutter,the polarization difference between the clutter and the target can be used to complete the detection of the slow target.Therefore,the analysis of clutter characteristics and signal processing research on airborne polarimetric radar is a hot topic at present.In this thesis,aiming at the detection of slow-moving targets in complex clutter background,the research on polarization space-time processing and clutter suppression technology of airborne polarimetric array radar is carried out.The field experiment data collected by the airborne polarization phased array radar developed by a research institute is processed and analyzed.The results of performance comparison and data processing analysis among the algorithms are given.The specific research content is as follows:1.Model building and characterization.According to the characteristics of the polarization array,the polarization space-time model of the target and clutter is deduced and established in detail by combining the electromagnetic wave polarization domain transceiver model with the space-time domain model.The characterization method of polarization information is given in the polarization domain,and the polarization distance and polarization correlation between the target and clutter are analyzed;the clutter spectrum and clutter rank are analyzed in the space-time domain.2.Polarization space-time joint processing.The clutter suppression algorithm combining polarization domain processing with non-adaptive space-time processing and adaptive space-time processing is studied.The effects of eight factors,such as clutter correlation and polarization distance,on the filtering performance of optimal polarization space-time processing are analyzed emphatically.3.Polarization space-time dimensionality reduction processing.Six dimensionality reduction algorithms and their computational complexity are investigated.The influence of the polarization characteristics of the target and clutter on the processing algorithm is analyzed.According to the polarization correlation and polarization distance between the target and clutter,four polarization scenarios are set up,and the filtering performance of the algorithm is analyzed respectively.The performance ranking of algorithms in different polarization scenarios and different speed ranges is presented.4.Airborne polarization array radar measured data processing.Analyze the clutter characteristics of the measured data,analyze its space-time characteristics through the clutter space-time spectrum;analyze its polarization characteristics through the estimation of polarization correlation,stability and polarization parameters.After the target detection is completed,its polarization characteristics are analyzed and compared with the clutter polarization parameters.The polarization space-time processing algorithm studied above is applied to the measured data and the performance comparison between the algorithms is carried out,and the processing results of the measured data are given.
