Millimeter wave has become a planned frequency band for 5G 、 B5 G and 6G communication due to its large bandwidth,high stability,and strong directivity.A fast ray tracing method is proposed in order to master the indoor propagation characteristics of millimeter wave and support the demonstration,analysis and application of the future communication system effectively.The main measures adopted in this th are as follows: replace the full-ray path analysis with the dominant ray path,no longer consider the contribution of small rays,reduce the complexity of ray propagation in the indoor environment,and use multi-threaded parallel acceleration to further improve the ray tracing efficiency.Compared with the traditional ray tracing method,the above measures can bring about two aspects of performance improvement: On the one hand,in terms of reducing tracking time,importing the ant colony algorithm to search the indoor ray path,which can avoid awkward contribution and contribution to the small ray to participate in the operation based on the principle of ant colony algorithm on the premise of statistical indoor propagation path.The ant colony algorithm search scheme is imported to accelerate the screening process of the optimal ray path combination scheme that can be obtained at last by combining with multithreaded parallel acceleration technology.On the other hand,in terms of reducing complexity,a large number of rays are avoided to participate in the caculation and the efficiency of ray tracing is improved under the premise of ensuring the accuracy for the final ray combination consists of five dominant rays.In order to verify the performance of the method in this paper,the indoor 3D simulation environment model was built,and the channel characteristics of the indoor scene in 28 GHz,32GHz and 38 GHz were selected for simulation analysis on the basis of the above method.What’s more,the methods in this paper not only show good consistency,but also show better performance than traditional ray tracing methods.In terms of calculation time,the traditional ray tracing method is 1.9290 s,while the total time of the proposed method is only 0.4028 s.Namely,the calculation efficiency is increased by 378.9% and the comparison path loss error of this method is 0.8 d B lower than the traditional method.In conclusion,the method proposed in this paper can effectively reduce the computational complexity on the premise of ensuring the prediction accuracy,and provides a useful engineering method reference for the current ascendant 5G communication and the energy consumption test of the indoor transmission channel in the post-5G era.
