A Study On The Optimization Of Agile Software Testing For GS Company

At present,more and more domestic software companies have adopted the agile development model,but the methods,the flow,and the management in software testing still follow a set of systematic methods under the waterfall development model.Therefore,the research purpose of the thesis is to optimize software testing in the agile model.Firstly,the thesis introduces the theory of agile testing and the present situation of research and application of the agile testing at home and abroad,analyzes the difference between the agile testing and the traditional testing.Then the thesis introduces the basic situation of GS company and its R&D projects,describes the current situation of the agile software testing in GS company in terms of the test team,test iterations,the test flow,team satisfaction,etc.,and analyzes the existing problems and causes of the agile testing in GS company.On this basis,the optimization objectives and optimization schemes are determined.The thesis discusses the specific optimization measures in test team management,test methods and the test flow.The measures taken in test team management include cancelling the independent testing department,inviting an agile testing expert to train,adjusting the office location.The measures taken in test methods include building and applying an automated test framework,performing regression test by automated testing,studying and applying exploratory test methods.The measures taken in the test flow include improving the test flow,introducing shift-left testing,performing continuous testing.Then the thesis introduces the organization guarantee,fund guarantee and institution guarantee of the optimization scheme implementation process.After monitoring the implementation process of the optimization schemes for a period of three months by the Project Management Office of GS Company,the thesis collects and sorts out the data of the test iteration,test flow,team satisfaction,customer evaluation and so on,describes the optimization effect through comparison and analysis of the data.The results indicate that by building fullfunctional teams that integrates developers and testers in GS company,the delivery cycle of the project has greatly been shortened after the improvement of the test team,test methods and test flow,the team satisfaction of the project team has been improved and the project team gains high praise from customers.
