Nowadays,under the continuous development of economic strength and technological technology,our country steps into the age of digital economy gradually accelerates.The competition trend of currency becomes more and more fierce.Our currency has gone through three stages of development,the first stage is based on commodities,the second stage is based on politics,and now the third stage is based on mathematics.Today,the digital currency we’re dealing with has almost the same function as paper money,but its form is completely digital,and paper money will soon be in digital form.The biggest advantage of digital currencies is traceability,which will have a major impact on the entire financial system.The digital currency can still be traded even when the Internet is disconnected because of its distributed nature and offline transactions can be quickly backed up to various nodes when connected to the Internet,the central bank said.Secondly,the popularity of digital currency will improve the efficiency of daily payment.The affected fields include catering and retail,transportation and medical care,tax services,etc.Meanwhile,the digitization of RMB is easier to manage,which is of great significance to the development of Chinese financial system in the future.Therefore,this paper will analyze domestic and foreign journals and domestic and foreign doctoral and master’s papers through bibliometric methods,summarize and summarize the current development situation of digital currency at home and abroad,and put forward corresponding reference ideas for the development trend and practical application of digital currency.This article will study and discuss the following aspects:This paper is based on the relevant theories and methods of bibliometrics,and combined with Citespace,Gephi and Scimago Graphica to visualize the domestic research on digital currency.Based on reading a large number Of literatures related to digital currency,this paper selects domestic and foreign journals and papers related to digital currency research from CNKI and Web Of Science respectively.Count the number of articles published at different times,so as to objectively show the current development trend and development stage of the digital currency field at home and abroad;Secondly,through the analysis of domestic and foreign literature publications and research institutions,further determine the level of publication distribution and types of journals and institutions,so as to provide rapid,accurate and high-quality literature material selection and reference for scholars in this field.Moreover,the use of keyword frequency analysis,keyword cluster analysis,outburst word analysis,keyword time zone graph analysis,can show the domestic and foreign digital currency research hotspot and frontier,as well as the evolution of domestic and foreign digital currency research hotspot;Finally,based on the above analysis from different perspectives,the research status and application of digital currency in China can be obtained.Studies have found that digital currency will replace part of the physical cash in people’s hands in the future,and the digital currency issued by People’s Bank of China is traceable within the scope permitted by law,which means that every transaction made with digital currency is traceable,which can effectively prevent money laundering and fraud,and improve the efficiency of tracing illegal funds.Secondly,the digital currency issued by People’s Bank of China can improve people’s daily payment efficiency,and does not need the intervention of a third-party institution to use it directly,and the digital yuan is not subject to the network situation at the time of payment,even if both parties to the transaction are offline,the transaction payment can be completed,which is the unique advantage of the digital yuan.Finally,through the analysis of the situation of digital currency at home and abroad,it is found that digital currency will have a certain impact on China’s current financial system,public payment consumption and national commercial banks.Then,through further in-depth analysis,it is concluded that there are four application fields of digital currency in China: payment system,international trade,retail payment,and smart contract.
