Establishing an underwater wireless sensor network(UWSN)with high energy efficiency and high security is of great significance for monitoring resource-rich oceans and lakes.Due to the resource-constraint of UWSN and the high-energy consumption of underwater acoustic communication, most of the current research on wireless communication starts with low energy consumption and ignores security issues. As the first line of defense for Communications security, identity authentication plays an important role in the secure interaction of UWSN.However, traditional authentication protocols need to rely on Public Key Infrastructure(PKI),which increases the additional communication cost in the underwater environment. In view of the security issues of UWSN in underwater environment, this thesis proposes an authentication key agreement protocol suitable for UWSN.The main research contents are as follows:(1)Two password-based two-party authentication protocols are proposed. One is to generate a shared session key through a synchronous one-round interaction, and the other is to increase the two-way authentication and security through an asynchronous three-round interaction. In the context of UWSN,two schemes use password authentication to reduce the reliance on public key infrastructure(PKI),and use the hash function reduces the dependence on the Key Distribution Center(KDC),avoiding additional communication costs and single point of failure. The correctness analysis and security analysis of the two schemes are carried out respectively, and the scheme is safe under the random oracle model. Finally, the proposed authenticated key exchange protocol is simulated and verified, and the computationally efficient performance is evaluated.(2)A password-based three-party identity authentication protocol is proposed based on the password-based two-party authentication key exchange protocol. In this protocol, each user only needs to share the password with the server to complete the authentication with other users.Combined with the characteristics of UWSN,the main computing cost is concentrated on the server side, and the user side only needs to perform a small amount of computation. In communication, the user who sends the communication request needs to complete two rounds of communication, and the user who receives the communication only needs one round of communication to complete mutual authentication and generate a session key.And part of the calculation can be completed in advance, reducing the underwater communication delay time. The correctness analysis and security analysis of the scheme is carried out.The protocol satisfies the anti-impersonation attack,anti-replay attack,anti-dictionary attack, and realizes session key security and two-way authentication.Down is safe. Finally,a performance comparison with similar protocols is carried out.
