At present, countries around the world are facing an increasingly serious aging phenomenon and the resulting declining demographic dividend. In this context, the labor force population of various countries is shrinking, the cost of labor factors is gradually rising, and the traditional comparative advantage of labor force begins to fade. This is reflected in the interregional transfer of industrial industries, the space for the decline of labor costs is becoming smaller and smaller, and the imbalance of industrial structure comes one after another. As a response to capital deepening, relying on industrial robots to fill the lack of labor force population is especially in line with the comparative advantage of an aging society. Therefore, vigorously developing industrial robots is an important magic weapon for the reconstruction of industrial comparative advantage. Therefore,it is of great significance to explore the impact of the interaction between industrial robots and aging on international industrial transfer.By constructing a theoretical model including industrial robot, aging and international industrial transfer, this paper explores the common impact of industrial robot and aging on international industrial transfer and the path of impact. In the regression analysis, this paper takes the international industrial transfer as the quasi natural experiment.Based on the panel data of 72 countries in the International Federation of robots database and the world bank database from 1993 to 2019,this paper empirically tests the relationship between industrial robots, aging and international industrial transfer through benchmark regression, heterogeneity regression, intermediary effect regression and robust regression. The results show that the deepening of aging level will hinder the occurrence of international industrial transfer, and the increase of industrial robot stock will promote the occurrence of international industrial transfer, which is consistent in different periods. In this paper, the sum of robot stocks in other countries except home and abroad and the ratio of the sum of people aged less than 15 and more than 65 to the total number are selected as instrumental variables for endogeneity treatment. It is concluded that there is no endogeneity in the results of this paper.Through the intermediary effect test,it is found that there is a masking effect in the process of the impact of aging on international industrial transfer; The heterogeneity test found that in different economic regions and different aging stages, the impact of industrial robots and aging on international industrial transfer is heterogeneous. Finally, the replacement aging measurement method is used to test the robustness, and it is concluded that the regression result of this paper is robust. Therefore,in the context of social aging,we should take measures to optimize the population structure, seize the opportunity of intelligence and actively promote the regional transfer of industries.
