| The definition of mediatization describes the shift in modern society that social and cultural processes used to be disparate have been adjusting themselves to media. It reflects media possess certain autonomy and authority making other social systems following media logic at different levels. These functions emerge when a crisis outbreaks, deriving mediatized crisis, which damages badly beyond itself due to concentrated and violent media exposures. Therefore, this paper tries to find key factors triggering mediatization and based on facts, and helps responsible bodies flexibly handle mediatized crises.Based on this, this paper chose 104 mediatized crises with public nature, collected relevant media texts from WiseNews,Tieba,Weibo and Wechat public platform, and analyzed data by the Grounded Theory approach, aiming at answering the forming factors of mediatized crises. At open coding stage,we got 488 codes;after relational coding period we got 20 codes. And then these codes were abstracted as three different parts. The results show that mediatized crises caused by anti-legitimacy and risk at object level and at event level, audience involvement at subject level and at diffusion level, and transmission attributes and emotional appeals at object level and at diffusion level.Last but not least, this paper pointed limitations of this study and prospected the future. |
