| The Mathematics Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)states that each curriculum standard should be based on the training objectives of compulsory education,and that the Party’s education policy should be specifically refined into the core literacies that should focus on cultivating,reflecting the requirements of cultivating correct values,essential character and key competencies.Emphasis should be placed on changing the single lecture-based teaching approach,focusing on inspirational,inquiry-based,participatory and interactive approaches,and exploring unit teaching;changing the focused classroom-based teaching design and promoting holistic unit teaching to help students understand the knowledge and the connection between learning content and the performance of core literacies,so as to gradually develop students’ core literacies.Based on the literature research,this study uses Ossubert’s theory of meaningful learning,learning transfer theory,Freudenthal’s theory of mathematics education and Professor Zhong Qiquan’s "ADDIE" model as the theoretical basis.A questionnaire survey is used to understand the current status of the core literacy-oriented middle school mathematics unit teaching design.Using the "ADDIE" model as the theoretical basis,this study design a basic framework for the design of teaching units in junior secondary school mathematics under the orientation of core literacy,and take the unit of "Fractions" in Chapter 15 of Grade 8 of the Peoples Education Version as an example.This is a theoretical and practical study on the design of the unit,which will provide some suggestions for front-line teachers to teach the unit in the future.The study shows that:(1)Teachers are more likely to accept the unit teaching,but for various reasons,the implementation of core literacy-oriented unit teaching is not in place,and their understanding of unit teaching and core literacy,as well as the various aspects of core literacy-oriented unit teaching design,need to be improved.(2)The core literacy-oriented "fractional" units is helpful for students to master the knowledge of fractional units,improve performance,and develop core literacy.(3)The core literacy-oriented unit is also conducive to improving the performance of middle level and academically disadvantaged students and developing the core literacy of middle and low group students.It has a greater impact on the intermediate level students.When teaching one unit,teachers should set the goals of the unit under the guidance of core literacy;base on the whole to enhance core literacy;choose the teaching methods that are appropriate to the teaching of the unit;and adopt diverse design approaches. |
