| Modern football games often exhibit fast-paced and intense conflicts. In terms of defense, particularly in the three defensive zones, the marking and interception are more active, and the players use rapid and effective cross combinations to maximize the impact on the opponent’s ball or movement without the ball.In this context, the attacking tactics of set-pieces in the front court have become increasingly important for winning matches and have become an essential and indispensable means of attack for all teams. This article to collect, sort, analyze, and statistically analyze the data of the four semifinalist teams in the 2020 European Cup and 2019 Asian Cup final stages. It analyzes the use of attacking tactics in the front court set-pieces such as free kicks, corners, front court throw-ins,and penalty kicks.By exploring the general rules and trends of the application of set-piece attacking tactics by the strong football teams in Europe and Asia through the dynamic analysis of the reasons, development processes, and formation results of set-pieces and combining them with match scenarios, the following basic conclusions are drawn:1、European football teams create more opportunities for free kicks in the front court than Asian football teams, and their ability to create and seize opportunities is stronger.European football teams have more obvious advantages in winning free kicks in the front court, while Asian teams have more diverse means of winning free kicks.European football teams have a stronger ability to continue to organize attacks after taking free kicks in the front court than Asian teams, and Asian teams are counterattacked more often after taking free kicks in the front court. The data shows that there is no significant difference between the strong football teams in Europe and Asia in the use of attacking tactics in free kicks in the front court, indicating that the gap between the attacking tactics in the front court free kicks of the strong football teams in Europe and Asia is narrowing.2、In corner kick attacks, there is not much difference in the number of corner kicks obtained by strong football teams in Europe and Asia. From the reasons for obtaining corner kicks,European teams focus more on front court attacks and havemore targeted approaches, while Asian teams have more diverse means of winning corner kicks. The data shows that there is no significant difference between the strong football teams in Europe and Asia in the corner kick attacking tactics.Other factors are generally similar to the front court free kick tactics.3、In front court throw-in attacks, strong football teams in Europe and Asia obtain almost the same number of front court throw-ins.Compared with free kicks in the front court,throw-ins have less threat to the defending team in set-piece attacks, and in the match,it is difficult for the strong football teams in Europe and Asia to directly create scoring opportunities after obtaining front court throw-ins.Instead,they usually throw the ball back to the backcourt teammates to organize attacks again.4、In penalty kicks,Asian football teams obtain a much higher number of penalty kicks and goals than European football teams, which reflects that when Asian teams have weak attacking abilities, they rely more on penalty kicks to score.5、The differences between the Chinese team and the strong European teams in terms of the number of free kicks obtained, the reasons for obtaining them, the areas where they are won,and the behavior of players fighting for the ball after penalty kicks are significant, while there is no significant difference between the Chinese team and the strong Asian teams. This shows that there is a significant gap between the Chinese team and the strong European teams in terms of attacking tactics in front court free kicks.Specifically, the average number of free kicks obtained by the Chinese team in the front court is significantly less than that of the strong European teams, and the means of obtaining free kicks are not diverse enough. The areas where they win free kicks are mostly concentrated in the B and C areas far from the goal, and the ability to continue to organize attacks after free kicks in the front court is significantly worse than that of European teams.6、The differences between the Chinese team and the strong European teams in terms of the number of corner kicks obtained, the reasons for obtaining them, and the results after corner kicks are significant, while the differences with the strong Asian teams are small. It can be seen that compared with attacking tactics in front court free kicks, the Chinese team’s corner kick attacking tactics are closer to those of the strongEuropean teams.7、There is a significant difference between the Chinese team and the strong European teams in terms of the number of front court throw-ins obtained and the results after front court throw-ins,while there is no significant difference between the Chinese team and the strong Asian teams.Penalty kick tactics are ahead of the strong teams in Europe and Asia. |
