The Effects Of Different Intensity Physical Exercise On College Students' Social Anxiety: The Mediating Role Of Sham | | Posted on:2024-04-08 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:Y H Zheng | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2567307091961979 | Subject:Physical Education | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | Social anxiety has always been one of the psychological problems concerned all over the world.Social anxiety is a mental disorder that individuals feel strong fear or anxiety in any social or public occasions.A number of studies have shown that shame has a profound influence on individual social anxiety.Social anxiety has seriously affected their life,academic performance,psychological health level and social capacity.Therefore,exploring ways to enhance the sense of shame and social anxiety among undergraduates is really vital.With exercise intensity as the pointcut,this study interferes with the social anxiety and shame of undergraduates.The aerobics project as the intervention means,the study uses questionnaire survey and 90 undergraduates as the subjects,respectively using aerobics exercise of different intensity for a 6-week exercise intervention.Meanwhile,the social anxiety and shame scales were used as research tools before and after the experiment.And statistical analysis was made on the experimental data.The findings show that different intensity of physical exercise intervention has a good improvement effect on college students’ social anxiety and shame,but moderate intensity physical exercise intervention has an impact on undergraduates’ social anxiety and shame;low intensity physical exercise can improve social anxiety and shame of college students significantly.The effect of high intensity physical exercise on social anxiety and shame was not significant.Shame plays a partial mediating role between different intensities of physical exercise and social anxiety.Different intensities of physical exercise can improve social anxiety as well as indirectly improve the degree of social anxiety by intervening variable of shame.Moreover,the structural equation model analysis shows that different intensities of physical exercise can intervene social anxiety through the sense of shame is the best way.This study showed the effect of different intensities of physical exercise on social anxiety.It developed the theoretical study of physical exercise on social anxiety,and further confirmed the positive effect of physical exercise on improving social anxiety and shame,as well as the mediating effect of shame on different intensities of physical exercise and social anxiety.It provides a basis for college students who hope to improve the sense of shame and social anxiety to choose appropriate exercise means. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Physical activity intensity, shame, social anxiety | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
